never really was, but for sure not for nearly 400 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ $$$, WAY too expensive for a slow jet at a br where everything flys your speed and turns better, best you got is guns

In what world does anything other than a Zero or Mk IX Spitfire turn better than the P-59A? I mean it sure as hell isn't worth 400 bucks, but to say that it turns badly just tells me you either never flew it out or have a gigantic skill issue.

Not at all for the price it is at the moment, I picked it up for about £20-25 a few years ago and had a bit of fun with it.

Slow acceleration but great top speed and turn rate, brilliant for boom and zoom and chasing bombers.

If you're interested in trading on the Warthunder Market by all means go for it, you could make a profit, who knows.

it got nerfed pretty hard a few months back and lost one of the few things that made it good, its large ammo count. Machine guns went from like 2800 rounds to 600

2800 was way too much and 600 might actually be 3x as much as actual

Given how well the P-59A can control the engagement and close in to nearly point blank, even an average pilot could probably still manage an ace in the thing with ammo to spare.

True but that doesn't change the fact it isn't as good as it was. Could easily wipe entire teams with that thing
