Unlink with steam will NOT hurt your game account

Heard some voice from the community about this un-link with steam will make us loose our account, here's some facts:
Fact No1, your game account has nothing to do with steam, they use Gaijin pass and a cross platform gaijin account that also allows you to login to other games
Fact No2, the game actually can be accessed through an independent standalone client, in which you launch the game through "Manual update mode", the steam shortcut only starts a mini EAC-launcher
Fact No3, you can sue the game company if they delete your account for no apparent reason, regional laws applies but even if they claim you only gains access to certain things by paying instead of owning them you still have the consumer protection on your side.

DO NOT be intimidated by posts exaggerating the effects of unhooking the game from steam, the cowards are afraid of negative comments caused by the vile actions they commit, but their fears just confirms that we are doing the right thing. Bring them back to the negotiation table and show them we can achieve great things!

you dont have to do anything, just keep safe your gaijin pass credentials and probably use 2-factor app they provide

you dont have to do anything, just keep safe your gaijin pass credentials and probably use 2-factor app they provide

This is probably stupid but- they give you gaijin pass credentials? I started this game about three years back, I wouldnt have known those were a thing.

gaijin is in damage control / panic mode right now and they removed the steam logo from their site
dont mess with your account settings right now this is not the best time for that
