Game review is essential. You can't give a Gaijin everything at once, because it will overwhelm and make the DEVS very lazy and they will just leave work on their game immediately or almost immediately. This has been tested by us many times in different ways. When applied to our game, later review are almost always more difficult to fix and to start developing, in the controls and with its capabilities. Progression provides opportunities for gradual learning and engaging the developers. Without it, the game will lose players right from the start.
In addition, progression in game developing serves as one of the basics of how a game makes money (basically developers work for player to pay).The fundamental difference between paid games and fair play free-2-play games is that you don't have to pay to play free games, and most devs don't actually work after launch day. Most War Thunder developers- about 80% - have never paid a single "care" about a game, whilst still getting payed for months or years. Many of those developers who have actually worked on the project for sometime don't get pay every month (and sometimes not every year) either. Nevertheless, all of the maintenance to the game, all of its development, servers, and support, is provided by those players who pay. In any game players play only when they have fun. But in war thunder, players only pay devs bills that really entertains them. The player is already paying, already not having fun, and pays if they want to support expensive CEO habits, or try something new, which is, serve as target practice dummy at the same time, not necessary to enjoy the game (otherwise they would just quit playing and not pay at all).Hence the unobvious conclusion: the less you pay to play the game, the less we care for quality it should have, so that those who can afford it can spend more, and those who can't or don't want to cant play for free and have fun. There are many progression and economy options in F2P games. All of them are not suitable for our game, because War Thunder is about real money scheme, which are not equal, differing in work less and pay more.

I finally hit top tier after years of giving up on the grind. Sitting in the Japanese F-16 and getting obliterated because I don't have stock flares legitimately crushed me. Without all of this issue I'd have probably put the game away for a bit anyways. Now I'm just gone.
