Chinese PT-76 is going to be removed?

I heard that in two weeks after the next major update the chinese version of the PT76 light tank will be removed from the tech tree, but they didnt say clearly if you need to research or purchase it, does putting 1RP into the research is safe enough to keep it?

(I know its a trash vehicle, without stabilizers at all, but this sounds like a future rare vehice, lol)

I remember hearing in the patch stream that a new vehicle will be foldered with it, i don't recall anything about it being removed.

It being removed is listed on the preliminary patch notes at the moment. Whether or not that changes before patch, who knows.

Not sure if it will work like the Maus or not where if you start research you get to keep going for it, the notes don't specify.

I found the point on the stream it has to do with the Object 211, Oxy says that it is going to be foldered with the PT, but I guess that might be a different one, or they could of just changed it either way that's where I heard it from.

Yep according to the notes right now:
The tank will be removed (in two weeks from the major update release) from the Chinese ground vehicles tree and will be not available for research. The tank will remain with the players who researched or purchased the unit.

My guess is the overall bad performance of all pt-76 while specifically the chinese pt-76 having the worst case scenario out of all due to the below average speed,sub-par and unstabilised main armament,very thin armor(survivable is stabilised or fast),poor stock grind experience and br 5.0(similar to stabilised versions).
Overall, the pt-76 are just not that great to justify keeping the worst of the already underwhelming pt-76 family, and technically it wouldn't be as bad since the replacement has a 85mm, a big upgrade i would consider a good idea

The weird thing is they already have the ZTS63 which seems like the same thing just higher BR than what I assume is the replacement for the PT-76 that I saw on the dev stream the OBJ 211.

Either way i am currently playing the ZTS63 and it's no better or worse than I remember the PT-76 being, a unstabilised kinda of meh vehicle that slings heat around.

Anyone get a link to were this is mentioned? I have been looking everywhere and cant find anything about it getting removed. Also is this the ZTS63 or the PT-76?

I don't know either, all i know is on the patch steam Oxy said that the new OBJ 211 which is like the ZTS63 but 5.0 will be foldered with the PT, sure it's possible that it could replace it but i haven't seen that written anywhere yet.

It looks like it was only mentioned in a developer stream so far going from a previous comment as I found nothing via my Goolge-Fu while looking for any notes about this change etc.

Where do you find this information? So I can find any future tanks may be removed so that I will try to get it done before they'll disappear from the game.
