This seems like a really weird addition for a nation that really doesn't need any premiums at that, also didn't we just have a patch one month ago?

I don't get why are people mad at this tank, Germany has Leo 1A5, 2A6 with skins and both are 60$, italy is notorious for their low tier "Leoncello" reskinned vehicles, but now that usa gets an M1 abrams with a camo and some rebar, "now its the time to put our foot in the door"

The tank should be an M1A1 and Smin has acknowledged that, but they made it an M1 for "balance" reasons. They shouldn't of added it in the first place if they were just going to make it fiction.

it's practically a camo. should they remove all fictional camos from the game.

? yeah... they literally have a setting for it. Though this camo is actually going to be worse than others as it will impare the vehicle in combat due to the fuel barrels on the back, in addition this vehicle shouldn't even have anti tank shells to my knowledge (could be wrong of course but I think they weren't operated with AT shells), thankfully gaijin will ignore that issue

There is no camouflage that provides ahistorical protection, and, unlike camouflages, this can't be disabled client-side by enabling a setting, as FizzyElf pointed out.

The actual "Lodka" was an M1A1 converted for the Krasnovian OPFOR. The one they're adding in-game is just an M1 wearing a costume.

Don't care much since don't play top tier that much, ww2 still more fun and not a fking circus like top tier.

WW2 (3.3-6.7) is fun only playing as germany. Since if you against them you lose 8/10 games. Panthers are no way right at 5.7...their armor, speed, gun and overall versatility makes them extremely OP and frustrating to play against. Even if you hit the mantlet there is like 80% chance of the round bouncing or damaging only the cannon breach.

Yeah, and the fake ERA blocks are still modeled as armour.

The tank did exist, it was an M1A1. Just because it is was dressed as an OPFOR tank doesn't mean it didn't exist lmao.

it never existed as a combat vehicle.

Neither did a lot of the vehicles in-game, and "never being used as a combat vehicle" is far different from "not existing".

I vote for the Tiger E-54. I just want it because of the stupid space armor it would have on the hull, flat construction steal plate and then the sloped T-54 armor underneath, would be so trolly.

Why? The Hoffsman device is just a glorified flash grenade launcher mounted atop the barrel. The gun can still shoot regular projectiles.

so it was a T-54 not a T-34 or did they make a few fake tigers. anyway would it really matter which they used, it's a gimmick after all.

There are several fake tiger mock ups as well as stand in's, hell I think I recall the chaffee being used as a tiger stand in, in a promotional film. Its a whole box of crazy if gaijin goes down that rabbit hole.

As in """pay 2 lose""" not literally but you are losing out on sideskirts which I had stop my BMP-2M APFSDS belt occassionally and probably have saved people from bad autocannon fire.
