Best Helicopter Nation?

I haven’t gotten the game yet, but want to be prepared if I do. I’m on a helicopter high right now and want to know what the best heli nation is. I’ve read it’s Russia, but I’ve also read that one is pay to win. Anyone have some good info?

Soviets get a very good ATGM very fast (first heli), only bad thing is the platform its on is super slow, im sure every one after that is very good, Isreal has some good ones too

Russia for pay to win and I guess stock tree with the KA52.

The Ka50 is a meme for how busted it can be. Decent range and payload of missiles. Also keep in mind that you are going to suffer, and I mean really suffer, playing helicopters compared to anything else. The grind is easily slower than any other vehicle tree, and its dedicated mode (which I think was shut down, can't find it) was painful to play.

personally while the ka50 and ka52s vikhr missile is 'fine' i feel like its lack of top attack can be situationally crippling, when firing at long range and low altitude its all too easy to have the missiles slam uselessly into terrain or hit the thickest possible spot on the targets front armour

my personal favourite is actually UK, they lack the sheer variety of Heli's (which might even be an advantage considering you have to grind less to get the best ones) but the Augusta Westland Apache is a straight upgrade of the US's AH64D and before that the lynx is the fastest production helicopter yet made. Both get hellfires with top attack which while they will still occasionally waste themselves on off centre hits are at least less vulnerable to hitting a tree or house somewhere between you and your target

In terms of late game? Germany with the UHT as it gets fire and forget missiles (it may also be France, i dont play either)

In terms of start? uSA with AH-1G, despite no missiles it is small, quick, nimble and can take a lot of punishment for some reason.

For fun and general use? Premium Russian Ka-50

It's just the german one, but seeing as there are maybe half a dozen or so players online at any time who own it, its a rather rare sight compared to the premium french tiger but even that is uncommon. The rarity of the vehicle keeps it from managing to piss players off like the Ka-50s do but I have seen UHT's go 30 and 0 during matches before so when they do show up, you are in for a "treat".

But as everyone else has been saying, Russia is by far the best starter and premium nation and it is the best grind out of all of them, combine that with universally decent to strong heli's and its a no brainer, russia is the nation to go for, at least your first time around.

Yeah, there is also a problem of missiles doing RNG damage, sometimes it 1 shots and sometimes a tabk eats 4 vikhirs (looking at you Pzb 123 2A4)

Well the camo net kind of sets the missile off early. But yes I have experienced this issue with the premium 2a4 while in my Russian and japanese Heli's.

I don't have much experience,but in my opinion EEUU is a great nation to play without premiums, stock helicopter is good for farming in heli mode and the yah-64 is very easy to get through clan points and is very good, they atgms can hit 8kms away and the zoom is so nice. Yesterday been playing with the German mi-28 and didn't like at all, those atgms are crap. Low damage, low range,bad zoom, you cant lock on targets ... Is crap
