Don't Use Steam

** For those having random issue with lag/stutters:

Use the standalone client and not steam, literally solved stuttering and lag for me. Right click in task manager on warthunder ace and set to high priority, then change affinity to last 4 cores only. Also turn off EAC and the extra downloading bs in the launcher.

I cannot believe the mods don't recommend or know this....

Probably because it works fine through Steam for us. I don't have stuttering or lag issues.

Some people have had issues unanswered and are told it's our PC's or ISP. I just proved it's not because I downloaded standalone and all lag/stutters are gone hmmm. I also turned of EAC, which you can't do in Steam and also disabled the DHT, Peer to Peer, and Seed bs that is enabled by default. Literally have issues for two years and never once was told to mess with any of this.

I literally have had steam overlays off and game bar and all that man. Trust me, been working on this off and on for two years. I'm in total shock!

Do you use Discord? Are you on Windows 10? If so do you have Xbox turned off? Do you use any of the 90% of social software that runs overlays on PC games.

it was EAC, not steam if i disable EAC on steam the stutter stop, same for the lag since EAC keeps uploading stuff while you play

Guys, I have 1k hours in warthunder. I have a 2k pc, I have tired everything but switching to the standalone and disabling EAC and the p2p dl settings in the launcher and now the microstutter is gone. For 2 years the mod knightsoftheabyss blamed my ISP haha

If we're using hours as experience, than you're still wrong because I've clocked over 5K hours on steam alone and had none of these issues.

go to tech chat in steam and you'll see others with same issue

this isnt really optimal since I dont want to go through the process of downloading the launcher signing in and then ajusting settings, also it isnt the same issue your having that im having but how you responded in my discussion really made it seem like you had the same issue.

so... you switched off EAC - good for you but thus most likely doesn't work for many / most other players since without EAC they can't play their favorite game modes anymore...

...and disabing the p2p options in the launcher settings does nothing to the game as they are (like the name implies) launcher related settings only - the game client itself does not use p2p

changing core affinity and process priority has most like just a placebo effect (unless there is something seriously wrong on your system)

at least on one thing i can agree with you ^^ running this game on Steam is pointless as it doesn't give any benfits (just wasting system resources)

Nothing is wrong with my pc as every other game has 0 issue.
