What to do when uptiered
I'm 4.3 - 4.7 BR (I have 1 KV-1 Zis-5, that's it no other 4.3+ tanks) and I'm constantly being uptiered to 5+ BR, what am I supposed to do? I Know where to hit for the most part, but when I have to fight a Tiger H1 in my T-34 STZ like what am I supposed to do? Idk what to do when fighting tanks that are just better than mine.

OP can also look for vehicles the uptier well. Mobility and firepower are important traits.
The ASU-57 or SU/ISU-152 are always effective.

I would love to use those vehicles, but I can't research them in while only getting 400 RP a game. And to be honest I don't have those research trees nearly as completed as they probably should be by now.
In that case, use a lineup at a BR you where can field at least 3 competitive vehicles. Use those until you can field a lineup that is competitive at 4.7.

In this case its likely 4.0 USSR. T-34, T-34, KV-1S, SU-152 when you get it. Add additional KVs or T-34 from 3.7 as you'd like and have slots.

But in general diving down one Tech Tree line is a bad idea.

take a cheap as ♥♥♥♥ tank in your lineup like a BT5 and play that first and when you die leave. repeat until you get a game you want to play.

Game always throws you into uptiered games so its nothing new and some tanks have much thicker armor than what your tank can penetrate so half the time I always wondered why do they force uptiered games often when tanks cant pen even vehicles within their own BR

It's to the point that I'm considering just buying tanks so that I can even play. Not Premium, just tanks that will make it fair for me to play.
Half the time, you'll just be outclassed by superior vehicles, the other half, well, your team will melt away, all in all, uptiers shouldn't be in a balanced game.

well if you ask me, play at rank V. plenty of chemical rounds. just dont go over 7.3 because t55am-1 and t72av turms got stalinium armor and fuel tanks
It doesn't get much better really. The KV-1 is a solid tank, but I can see the issue when you're facing Tiger 1s.

Past this point really, the game becomes a memory challenge in knowing where weak spots are and what shell to use. For the Tiger, you can side pen it, but also aim for the turret hatch on top if its not the E variant (5.7). Otherwise, go for the gun then track and shoot it from the side. Though I think your gun might be able to penetrate it front on if its not angled when in the KV-1, I could be wrong though, it's been a while

Don't assume that a 4.7 tank is meant to only face other 4.7 tanks. You're meant to fight things higher BR than yourself.

If you want your 4.3 tanks to have an easier time, don't take a 4.7 in the lineup. Not only does it increase the highest BR you can be placed in, but it also means your 4.3 tanks will be more consistently uptiered since they'll always be at least one step uptiered at 4.7 BR.

Though do note that most tanks can honestly fight 1.3-2.0 BR higher than their own. You just have to alter your playstyle. Its like how often M24 Chaffee tanks are brought up. Many players take their 3.7 Chaffee to 5.7 and get it uptiered to 6.7 and still use it effectively.

Don't focus so much on BR, it doesn't matter as much as you might think. Also don't play above like 6.7 either, before comments start talking about BR in that range.

I want to play top tier, I'm just having trouble advancing because
1: I'm fighting superior vehicles than mine (where I only have maybe 2 tanks that can somewhat fight back), or
2: I can participate and kinda contribute to the game but at most 1 - 2 kills leaving me only getting a few hundred RP per game while I'm trying to research 40,000+ RP Vehicles in tier III

Then I wish you luck I suppose. Its only going to get FAR worse as you go up. It really isn't worth it if you ask me, the game wasn't made for modern tech and it shows.

Ignoring the grind and just enjoying the vehicles you already have is the best way to have fun in this game. Playing to grind will kill your interest in the game.

Just don't expect to be at modern stuff any time soon. Expect to wait at least a few months before you get there. You're not even at the point where your Silver Lion income is going to be negative every round and you'll have to go back into lower tiers just to grind SL to pay for the vehicles you're not unlocking because of low RP gains. The grind is the worst part of the game. As long as you're ignoring it, you can have fun.
