Keep being added by random people

I have recently noticed that everytime i log in there will be a friend request of a new person that i don't know, It is starting to scare me as i dont know who these people are

Why does it scare you?, just decline and nothing happends. It's not like they know where you live or when you go to bed..

I´ve got once a request from a quite persistent fellow after one match despite never talked to him and being on different teams.
Declined him for almost 2 weeks because he send me a request on a daily basis.

it is, what isnt is why you are being rude. also some people are put off by the idea that someone tried to scam them. imagine a stranger rings your doorbell at night for no apparent reason then just leaves.

Happens a lot, actually. Be it in game or on steam, I often get invites from people I've never even met.

Usually I just decline the invite, but if the account sending me the invite seems fishy I outright block them.

Just recently I had a invite on steam from some russian named dude, which immediately reminded me of the time someone tried to get me to hop onto discord because they "accidentally reported my account and told their friends to do the same" because I apparently "scammed them on the steam market".

Dude had a photoshopped market history screenshot and everything.

Too bad he forgot that I can see my own history too lol

I feel its more or less like magazine said you did great in a match and some people wanted to run with you to see how you did it (tho i don't see why people would want to add me because im to aggressive for my own good)

they want to flame you and you've got "only accept dms from friends" or whatever selected
