GERMAN MIG-19S strategy???

Guys really i fckin hate this plane so much. Trash cannon with small quantity of ammo, no missiles This thing is really pain in my back coz i had twice a match against an AV-8A equipped with aim 9g.... WHY AND WHAT STRATEGY DO I NEED TO USE!!!

Uhh you dont, you use other vehicles to research past it. It used to be great - when it came out.

well, it would be
If it didn't get shot down instantly by AA or other planes. it's 0.3 BRs away from planes with the R-60 or the AIM-9L. Not to mention the AA...

it literally isnt playable due to the current meta of the game. If it was an F-104 it would at least have one quality that makes it decent at 9.3 and thats insane speed, cut your losses and drop the MiG-19

The strategy is to play air RB, trying to get 1 or 2 ground targets each match before getting hit by a missile

It's great, it's the best turn fighter, it can go against F-5C easily!
Don't listen to these newbies, buy the crew and perfect your skills, it has a great gun matching the range of 50 cals while maintaining its lethal damage!

and it's one of the a few planes if not the only one with a whopping 570% SL reward (with prem sub active), so staying alive and farming ground units is gonna be really lucrative.

The russian tree version of MIG-19 has a radar and R-3S which is utterly garbage unless you gonna use it in a direct line and within gun range or against bombers. while having one less cannon and less ammo and much worse energy retention and turning abilities cuz of the radar mass in the nose!

as far as How you should play with it, climb high up and be careful vs Radar missiles, pick your preys one by one and don't be afraid to engage in a turn fight because you either will out turn them or get them with a few turns due to better energy retention.

you could use rockets as an alternative to flares as well, just change the multiplier of throttle and put two easily accessible keys for throttle and down-throttle, so in case you got an IR missile coming just go to 0 asap and use rockets turn and dodge the missiles!

Maintain alt, maintain speed, and learn to aim with those powerful n accurate guns, cheers.

Well yeah the soviets version is great, but here i was talking about mig 19s (german tech tree) in which it doesn’t have r-3s missiles 🥺

Read carefully brother, I wasn't talking about the russian one, I brought up the russian one to tell you R3S missiles are awful and you don't need them.

it literally has the best gun in the game as far as range/damage/accuracy goes, just keep on practicing and trying new things with it instead of looking for an excuse to dismiss it and you'll eventually find it performing well.

Although I'd say MIG-19 is not good unless you buy the expert crew for it, or you'll have to keep an eye on your G pressure and doing sharp turns in high speeds.

Edit: and the soviet version performs much worse in terms of agility and maneuverability!

Ah please forgive me hahaha. But honestly, stock Mig-19s grind is such a painnn maybe i just dont need rely too much on missiles. Thanks for the reply tho
