Airfield Campers
I'm running into Airfield Campers basically every other match I play, it's absolutely insane how much of my time is wasted every single session of playing this game that I experience because of those people.

Does reporting them for "passive play" even do anything to punish them for this behaviour or what?

every player priority list should be win>get a kill>survive
is it possible to win? no
can he get a kill? no

how is that a reportable offence?
If said player has more tickets than your team does this is not a bad thing, many air players don't know they can J out and leave without paying for repairs.

airbase AA is worthless just go gun em
Why should they take off when you're 3km up just outside AAA range? Go ground pound, stop crying about people not feeding themselves to you.
Ground targets in air rb exist for this specific purpose. Hes sitting at his base waiting for kill hungry dumbasses? Good, let him be and go kill ground targets to make his side bleed out on tickets. Works every single time.

Because they don't land on their airfield and J out, they just circle their airfield until everyone dies trying to strafe them.

Lmao I've seen my entire team get wiped out by Airfield AA trying to strafe a single guy that's circling their airfield at the end of the match several times over

I play fighters for Air RB because that's explicitly what the entire game mode's centred and designed around, once the other fighters are gone, I HAVE NOTHING TO DO ANYMORE, I'M NOT A STRIKE CRAFT.

I can see that you are very single minded and never tried anything besides chasing kills.
Unless its EC map, there are always light ground targets that CAN BE KILLED EVEN BY .50 CAL MG FIRE, such as, howitzers, artillery, AAA.

Do you find fun or satisfaction in that though?

Imagine that, someone can enjoy ground striking in air RB.

Facts, flew in a straight line over enemy airfield while being chased by an enemy at 11.0
Didn't even scratch the paint

Ground pounding is very fun
But rarely an option in ARB, match either ends or any aircraft with a good armament for that get shot down

At higher tiers just cannons are more then enough. Personally, when theres just 1 guy left who is camping his airfield, he either gets rushed by 3-4 guys who want a kill, or tickets bleed out from ground pounding.

It's not "single-minded" to be aware of the capabilities of the plane I am using and to understand the direction of which Gaijin has deliberately designed the objectives, rewards, and incentives of Air RB towards.

There's a reason why large swathes of teams subconsciously would rather risk dying to AA to strafe an Airfield Camper and get the kill instead of buggering off to do other stuff, and that's because they are acting in their self-interest and chasing what Gaijin has incentivised them to do. Game design influences player behaviours.

Dude top tier jets are the exception to Airfield AA, early Jets and prior all get shredded by Airfield AA and those vehicles make up majority of the playerbase and volume of games. Pointing to the small times there's an exception to the rule doesn't disprove the rule. How the hell do you not know this after grinding an entire nations tech tree lmao.

- when clearly losing, most of us will land and J out if we have a reasonable opportunity to do so. If not clearly losing, that's different.
- most of us will NOT find having one or more Deathmatch-style "players" camping our airfield and harassing us in chat to be a "reasonable opportunity", so we'll circle if you're strafing after us UNTIL THE AREA IS CLEAR TO LAND, so GET OUT of the AA airspace and go calm yourself.

These Deathmatch style "players" pretending to be victims is getting rather tiresome. Shoot some Howitzers or something if another player has the outrageous gall to refuse to hand you an easy kill + have to repair their plane.

Just be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reasonable to each other and use the chat like an adult once in a while, you'd be amazed at what that can accomplish.

You seem every much single minded. Or "kill hungry". So much so that you went to cry to a forum about people that dont want to hand you a kill and decide to sit by their base.
There is mechanic to beat that, just because you dont want to make use of it, thats a YOU problem.

Because I'm the sick bastard that skipped early jets!
No seriously, I'm the type of sicko that got an Abrams by just running the old 4.7 fun times setup to grind events. With air i just used event vehicles i earned over the years, ♥♥♥♥ early jets i refuse to deal with constant uptiers against AAM equipped jets while i lack countermeasures or any method of dealing with it that isn't ace combat level maneuvering (incredible heart pounding fun when it works but that's when it works)

Haven't really tried airfield AA below 6.7 in a while, in my experience just weaving a bit gets you out slightly damaged. The good old times of having your pilots skull explode by a perfectly shot flak round from 5km, away are over
All i really remember doing in air is climbing to space in a 109 and abusing the energy advantage i have, that and barely not ripping my wings off when outmatched since few and crazy enough to follow suit
I'll defer to your experience, since mine is base AA struggling to hit a flying barn
