maybe a tad short, but still shouldve worked IMO.
I havent played the 2K since last update, so I can't tell how they behave now.
oh it gets better when you see my second video:
https://youtu.be/LdrDQ2Aigbg
but sometimes this works to your advantage: I launched a missile to a target that will end up out of range before the missile reaches, but the missile decided to go for another target, on its own, that I had not even seen, and killed it.
so that granted me a kill on an otherwise bad launch.
EDIT: I believe in its final approach, the missile uses its own radar. that why you can have a chaff locked and the missile still hits.
A lot of Fox 1s will go after the target that has the highest rate of closure and clearest signal return based on the information the radar is sending the missile, especially if you're in PD mode.
In the first clip, essentially the missile that was fired by the Tomcat giving a better target solution because it was going notably faster than the Tomcat so it picked the missile as its intercept. It's an unfortunate timing kind of issue, but it's something to keep in mind.
In the second clip, also kind of the same issue. The F-16 you had lit up changed its velocity with the maneuver it pulled (change of closure rate) and was moving away from you vs. the debris field from the killed aircraft maintained its closure rate and was moving towards you, aka it presented an ideal target solution.
Both of those instances were super unfortunate timing issues, but hope this gives some insight as to what occurred here!
Same for R-24R, even R-3R works wonders.
Mirage 2000 is either broken at this moment or is completely useless. I see no point it being 11.7, not a single point at all.
You get only 4 missiles for loadout, 2 of them have to be IR and 2 of them must be radar. You cannot choose 4 IR missiles which is sad cuz magic 2s are all-aspect. It's a sad and hopeless plane, and as of today I stopped flying it.
Wanted to spade it but I pass.
