And it's the same for the B-52....
This isn't to say they don't deserve to be present if changes are made, but people have zero reason to play them unless it's just for fun.
Not saying i dont enjoy seeing strat bombers in ground RB i do its just rare, and even rarer in air RB because the meta just doesnt favor them so as people say, the only time people bring them out is "for fun" a sad commentary in and of itself.
thats unlikely to happen, The Tu-95 has even more flares than the F-14B, its also equipped with multiple turrets similar to the TU-4 but even further it can use air ground missiles fire & forget to get rid of tanks, the impact is so high it should be as much as a 2000kg bomb or more to destroy cruisers and destroyers maybe even battleships.
And then a BVR missile appears and... Oo?
bro, how much of that soviet sekrit dokuments are you huffing right now?
thats public information and as a russian main i should know my vehicles, the downpoint is i have literally no clue about anything else but thats fine, if they ever add the Tu-95 i wonder which variant its gonna be, the early ones are still using bombs and later on they kept using more missiles until all bombs were deprecated, nowdays the VMF is using the Tu-142 which is a navy version and of course the modernized Tu-95 of the VKS to be used with missiles, side developments would be the Tu-160/Tu-22 lines accordingly.
War thunder related i would say the Tu-160 & Tu-22 are better suited, this also includes a less likely appearance of the B-52, since there are american counterparts which are able to "deliver" in a much better way.
Your defensives gun are meaningless if the fighter guy know his buisiness, no flares can prevent 20-30mm round to shot you down.
you do realize the Tu-95 goes up to 1000Km/h ? The A-10 is one of the slowest jets out there, and it cannot operate on its own, the Tu-95 is different.
The Tu95 is using an intersting turboprop quadro engine with dual counter rotatives propellers. However the plane is very heavy, so I don't expect it to fly more than 600-700kph in RB. with flight performances slightly better than a B29 TU-4.
I need to take a look at the Tu95.
