How to aim AA like a pro?
I noticed that lining up with the lead indicator (in arcade) doesn't always guarantee a hit. You often have to lead or follow. Is this on purpose? Do i have to use gunner sight bar lines to calculate the true aiming position? What am I doing wrong? sometimes it seems like the bullets pass right through my target...
Also... I can't believe they swapped the M15 and M16's BR. lol

the lead indicator isn't always gonna be 100% accurate you still need to take into acount the targets speed, direction, distance and where there facing and stuff. it takes some practice use the test drive to get at least some idea of where to aim and when to fire. also take into account the characteristics of your AA as that will also play a part in how you use it.

Yes and no. Realistically you would expect that the gunner sights should use this system of leading and you would be right. However, because Geijin despises low-level SPAA players, the muzzle velocity on most SPAA guns is so low that the gunner sights are actually completely inaccurate and useless. Most SPAA gunners practice in the training map until they master their leads while firing in third-person mode as this is the most comfortable position to fire from visually.

That said, a few tips on this.
1. Remember that your shells have drop, meaning that if the aircraft is further away you may need to aim slightly above it to actually hit it.
2. Do NOT shoot at distant aircraft unless they are coming directly at you. 90% of the time you will miss them out past 600 M and give away your position for nothing. Hit them when their close and distracted, such s when they are doing a strafing or bombing run on someone else.
3. Don't rely on foliage to protect you. planes at a high enough altitude get an exploit where trees despawn on the map but tanks don't. This means that you stick out like a sore thumb if yours is in the open, even if it's under trees.
4. Don't camp in spawn. Most pre-radar AA can reliably hit aircraft at extreme ranges, so it's usually to set up near your allies. Don't be on the front line, but don't stay in spawn either. Find a good hiding spot where ground units won't find you, but aircraft still have a hard time spotting you until it's too late.

The trick to ALL arcade leading is aim about 1/4 to 1/2 inches in front of the indicator. This will vary a bit depending on target speed, round speed and overall angle/distance but youll be surprised at how often your right on the money.

The aim indicator just shows where the plane will be if it goes in a straight line its just a guideline you will need to adjust accordingly
