Britain and France are trash now? Why?

ARL-44 used to absolutely destroy anything in sight. Same with Challenger or CA Lorraine.
Now they make no shrapnel, more often bounce or get destroyed when hit sloped armour, and have like no post-pen damage. ARLs shells now just kills 2-3 guys when pen and get through like butter doing damage only to things it directly hits. It's 20kg solid shell it should make a lot of shrapnel with the sheer size of it and velocity and speed it has. I dunno why gajin made so solid shells now have way less postpen(

HEATFS and HESH kinda suck now too with their random post pen (even more random than before), but maybe it's skill issue i dunno. But APs and other solids are absolutely useless now. Why the hell i grinded French to 7.7 then?

Your thoughts?

Yup. At one point tier IV France was the highest performing br block in rb, both by WR and kd. That's why a single Lorraine 40t used to have three times the repair bill of an Abrams.

I main France I feel like I'm cheating most of the time.
I avoid the HEATFS only vehicles tho, AML and AMX 13 90 for example, as you need perfect shots to ohk, implying you gotta learn every tanks layout and I'm lazy.

Idk how you can have troubles with both ARLs, maybe you get uptiered hardcore, I suggest you dodge full uptier lobbies :)

the french lineup at 7.0-8.0 is close to the best in the game. britain is pretty solid around 5.3.

a lot of their stuff is pretty garbage, but both nations to have a few good BR's to play at

You'd be surprised with the AML and the AMX-13-90... i love these vehicles. Maybe give em a go again. Even i dont know much ♥♥♥♥ about layouts

That's how I see it :

7.3 :
-char 25t : deadly flanker, almost sent to 7.7 last br change but they backpedaled
-50 Foch ♥♥♥♥♥, long reload but fast and sturdy, good sniper
-13-90 : a slow light, can be a nuisance at best

7.7 :
-Lorraine is BS strong, agile, big gun, 4s reload, S-tier flanker
-AMX 50 is almost the same
-Surbaissé : flagged heavy but behave like a medium, agile, great gun, 6s reload, good sniper
-AMX 30 : agile, good sniper, helis and lights hate your 20mm coaxial (even planes at times)

8 :
-MARS 15 : I hate it
-10RC : god-tier, fast af, fast APFSDS, always OHK, laser rangefinder, thermal gen 1, just find a hill and farm your nuke (also amphibious + hydropneumatic suspension)
-13 HOT : slow light but 6 HOT straight without reload :)
-ACRA : 500m/s ATGM :)

overall :
missing AA till 8.3
no STABs
Mostly agile at the cost of armor

I played at those brs on every nation except israel and I can say for sure french solid shots sucks
it doesn't matter how much pen they have they are utter garbage
the only "good" tanks you have on those BRs are amx-13-90/aml/amx-30 that's it

Finally, someone who agrees.
France has cool vehicles and all, but solids just suck now. Tha's why sometimes it's just insufferable to play britain and france at higher tiers. And it wasn't like that before lol. U fellas need to give your ol dusty french lineup a try and see for yourselves. Especially if u have some stock vehicles.

All i'm saying they definetly need a buff, and new SPAA for france cuz AMX DCA ain't enough on high tiers and u get next SPAA like at 8.0 wtf

It's not, every time you take a shot with HEAT, HESH or Solid shot it's just like rolling a dice.
Sometimes you will destroy the entire crew with 1 shot and sometimes the person sitting directly behind the spot you hit absorbs the entire shell and gets merely wounded after getting all his vital organs peppered with hundreds of supersonic metal fragments.

france 7.7 is better than americas and russias 7.7
so not worst in the game tough
Imagine a T32 against light tanks with thermals and ATGMs or tanks with stabilizer and darts.
Imagine a IS4 or a T54. At least russia has the object 906
