Also this^ its probably the most successful british premium in the game.
Wait until you get into early jets.
Who would've thought.
Honestly I'm fine with it at 4.0, maybe 4.3, but once things can outspeed it on the deck it's effectively worthless.
It released at 6.7 and was absolute garbage, got stomped by all the super fast, super energy efficient fighters at it's BR and if it got up-tiered it faced jets so either way you were done for as it handles like a brick and isn't fast compared to a jet. So no - It shouldn't go up.
Given the P-51C itself is undertiered having performance similar to the later P-51D just with less guns I'm not surprised.
Ngl I was kinda pissed yesterday when I tried fighting myself back in a last man standing just to waste 10 minutes trying to do anything about this guy who didn't even try shooting me down and that guy single handedly did enough base damage to make any ground pounding efforts on my side worthless.
I'll just drop my Spitfire (you're too slow) for now and stick to a P-47 or F-6C to assist my friend at 3.7
Don't let anyone tell you different. Nothing in this game is done for fairness. It is all done for those slippery greenbacks.
My only guess as to why its so low is because of people flying in, destroying one AAA gun then crashing or flying into the hornets nest of the enemy team and dying in 2 minutes. They are extremely annoying to fight and a well played one is practically untouchable requiring numerous planes to bleed it down. Yes its a brick, yes its heavy, but its not a fighter! It's a ground attack aircraft, it shouldn't be able to dictate fights by just running away. No other strike aircraft can do this. I've seen Wyverns wipe teams of enemy fighters, it's not hard if you play it patiently.
