I can't blame you for enjoying WWII era either, that is where I want to sit because it just seems like it gets retarded after. I agree that gaijin needs to restructure BR's around the eras better so that WWII is one genre, cold war the next, and post cold war after. And I really dislike when they put vehicles from 1970s into the WWII BR as well.
Might I suggest you try to take on a new role in WT and mentor noobs/new players like myself? maybe it will give you some sort of accomplishment to bring new players up enough to compete against long time vets like yourself.
What tank might that be if I may ask?
How about trying out a minor nation for example or playing a BR that is less meta in vehicles that are less meta? Or how about simply switching up your playstyle?
To me it sounds like your playstyle is probably the main reason why you are getting bored and not your seeming excuse of "I don't want to sealclub new players".
Let me explain what I mean by that. ..
In air battles for example I see so many players climbing to 8 km and then just afk flying in circles and diving on the occasional poor victim from above. It will give you a nice K/D for sure but in my opinion it does little towards winning the match on top of it being a very boring and passive playstyle. I mostly play ground attack aircraft and take out ground targets in air battles which is a lot more enjoyable and action packed than afk circling after afk climbing for 5 minutes. It will not give you that feeling of "I am sealclubbing new players" because you will die a lot more often due to not being in an invincibly strong energy position but at the same time you are doing more towards winning the match.
Same goes for ground battles. I can't tell you how often I see idiots and yes they are idiots in my opinion who just camp behind the first rock in their spawn and watch tiny predetermined deathzones without MOVING AN INCH the entire match. Yes they also have a nice K/D but they don't ever bother moving out of their safespot even if all 3 objectives have been taken by the enemy. I have lost so many matches because players like that for whatever reason refuse to play the game or rather REFUSE TO TRY TO WIN THE GAME. Go towards the points, challenge objectives and PLAY THE GAME. I am not saying that this is what you are doing because I do not know but from reading what you typed it SOUNDS like your playstyle is more towards this passive sitting behind rocks in invulnerable spots with bushes all over your tank and then getting "bored" of "sealclubbing new players". So why not play more aggressive? Challenge points more aggressively and try to get objectives rather than sit passively in extremely safe spots? I would get bored so quickly if I always drove for the "best spot" on every map and camped their all game so I am just not doing it and focus on driving towards objectives instead.
Your decision though. If you wanna leave then leave but if you are one of those guys camping and climbing all game then personally I am glad that you are gone because having players like that on my team is nothing but aggravating and annoying and there are plenty of those players around these days sadly...
but this is not an airport, you don't need to announce your departure.
For War Thunder, the only options I know of to limit the BR stupidity is Custom Battles and Sim Battles.
