Su-25K questions.
Su-25K questions.

1. Is the Su-25K decent enough for Air-Air battles as well?

2. How high is its survivability?

3. Is the non-guided anti-ground armament doing the job just fine or do you need to familiarise yourself with all the guided lock-and-fire nonsense?

1) It's ok if you're good at air RB
2) It's ok, don't expect to actually survive hits that would otherwise kill you often though, it usually just moves "dead" to "fatally crippled"
3) It's ok, the guided weapons are usable at much greater ranges and are therefore far safer for the Su-25K to use

One of the most fun jets in the game imo. Lethal missiles and a great 30mm on decent platform. Don't expect to win against someone who knows how to counter you though, remember it's not a fighter.

Su-25, A-10 and F-5 all have stupid DMs that tank damage.

Problem is, I just cant make these guided weapon work. Set up my keybinds so many times and no matter what I do, it just does not work or only works sporadically.

survivability is too good, I cant reliably kill a su-25 in one strafe in Air RB in my F104, and then it has a chance of firing r60 to me and im ded (thats why I sometimes dont even engage from 6 oclock)

What problem are you specifically having? I've got mine set up using the weapon selection system (so I have one key to select them, one key to fire them) and I haven't encountered any problems with that

Well, I cant lock the target for some odd reason. Even if I sit in the gunners seat view.

So, if you set sight stabilisation as a control, you can make the sight stay on the target you want to shoot at, then all you need to do is press fire and the missile will head to your crosshairs, they aren't fire and forget so you have to keep the aircraft pointed at the target or it'll stop being guided.

Yeah it worked with this one. But it seems a bit clunky.
Is there even a poiint in RB air battles ?

It's nice for hitting pillboxes or convoys with, or you could use things like the proxy fuse rockets/CCIP for them and/or napalm, they're kinda just nice for grinding in air RB

How do you get air-to-air AND ground armaments selected on the SU25? Seems I have to select one or the other.

This thread is probably going to get locked for necro but the default load outs should have that capability iirc. If not, you can create a custom loadout in the bottom left corner of the secondary weapons window.
