Why does everyone cheat so much? I die in one shot to anything. Even AA tanks kill my tanks. Im shooting people point blank range, and they dont die. Shoot everywhere, and keep tanking my shotsl. Until they manage to fix their entire tank and one shot me.
Just had a match, 9 hits with a Sherman Firefly, 2 criticals. How many kills? Zero. Im losing credits repairing my vehicles because I can't make enough money due to zero kills almost every round.

Wtf is wrong with this game.

As someone that has fought LOTS of cheating players in this game, sounds like a skill issue.

A Sherman Firefly, even in a full uptier, is perfectly capable of 1-shotting most vehicles it comes across. All you have to do is know where to shoot those vehicles. (something you're apparently not learning)

It's not about "shooting point blank range." You can do that 100/100 times and you still won't penetrate if you're shooting in the wrong spot. Or you will penetrate but not do anything, as the crew is still alive.

It's very simple, you're dying to experienced players who know where to shoot a Sherman, one of the most common low to mid vehicles in this game, you need to learn the weak-spots of what you're going up against.

Penetration and post-penetration damage are rng-dependent. If you buy premium time and premium vehicles, your chances of causing damages and killing other players drastically go up. Notice how in most games your after-hit effects are average, in some very bad and in very few you're basically unstoppable? It's all because of the rng.

This truth will absolutely enrage players who have spend many thousands of dollars/euros on this rng gacha slot machine.

You can easily tell some players are fishy. You hit them so many times in several places and they dont die. It's very common in those players who go rounds 10-0 and rush the spawn point, and still can't get killed.

I've seen a single tank rush a spawn point, have 3 tanks in my team shooting at him and he did not die. He ended up tanking every shot and turning the turret and killing them all.

There's like night and day difference between these "sus" players and real players. I just had a round and got 5 kills in 9 hits. I previous had a round with 21 hits and zero kills. A player tanked most of those 21 shots after I surprised him, somehow, and managed to last long enough to kill me.

Night and day.

Sometimes it's not how many shots... but where you're shooting that matters...

I've done way more than that before. T26E5, parked on a cap point, took out 12 enemy tanks without dying. Took so many hits from stuff that should've killed me I was left wondering if I was actually facing bots that were only shooting center-mass. They even dropped a 1000lb bomb and missed, giving me a hull-down position on the point.

Sounds like you were plinking at a heavy tank, and not that there were any cheats present. Learn the weakpoints, they're very critical to actually killing things that aren't light tanks or trucks.

before calling RNG BS or skill issue, OP can you give use the replay file of that match?

This isnt the other tank game with HP bars where you can kill a tank shooting the same spot over and over. You have to take the crew out or the ammo rack. This involves shooting either in the right spot to maximize spread of damage or shooting multiple locations.
mogami_99 Jun 23, 2023 @ 12:17pm
i know you don't want to keep shooting a target in the same spot. Once a module is black further hits do nothing.
Jaes Jun 23, 2023 @ 12:35pm
You need to learn weakspots. It's not about being able to penetrate a vehicle, but where you penetrate them.

If you shoot in the same area over and over again when your first round or two didn't knock out a tank, you will continue to not kill it. Know where the crew sits in a given vehicle and pick them off one by one if you must. Use HE shells to knock out open top vehicles. Know where the ready rack and ammo storage sits on a given vehicle, it'll all but guarantee you a kill if you hit the ammo on most vehicles in the Sherman Fireflies's BR range.

Some vehicles are more survivable to penetrations than others due to the size of the crew compartment and what kind of shell penetrates their armor. British tanks "suck" in the eyes of many due to not having APHE based shells and rely on spalling effects to do damage, which can be a random damage value if you don't know where to send your round against a given target vs. APHE based rounds crutch on exploding inside the crew compartment and are more likely to knock out a crew in comparison.

To play Brit vehicles successfully, you need to be knowledgeable about all of the above. If you're not, well, you get posts like you've posted here.

This is also not a game that someone with "hacks" can casually modify damage models or damage of your rounds or whatever hackusation that's being proposed. That data is determined by Gaijin's servers, not information sent from someone's game client as would happen in something like Call of Duty or Planetside 2.

At best, someone is going to have an Aimbot/ESP cheat. You won't be able to modify damage values of a vehicle because there's nothing from your game client that actually calculates that damage, it's all Server-side.

You'd be surprised at how little cheating actually exists in this game. There's definitely not anything that affects your ability to deal damage. You're using a Firefly. It has no explosive filler. This means you're only going to break what is on the other side of where the round penetrates. If you keep going through the same spot with nothing on the other side, the extra hits mean very little. I'll go 15-0 without ever even being shot at. The trick is to simply not play where everyone bum rushes every match. Be literally anywhere else.

Sometimes you get Gaijined and good shots do not count but more than likely as others have already said you are likely not aiming fora weak spot or the target is angled causing you to bounce the shot.

If you really want to see just how much the angle of the armor matters look at the Swedish Strv 103 in the projection analysis. Depending on the angle that tank can turn its measly 40mm armor into an effective 1100m at some of its strongest point.

Angle, distance, type of round, thickness of armor and the type of armor all matter. This game looks more simple that what it is but doesn't take too long to learn enough to be efficient. If you ever feel overwhelmed just message me and we can hop into a custom match and chat on discord and I will help you make sense of things.

Funny those crybabies, "i can't play, i don't know where to shoot, they are all cheaters"
typical for no skill Bots who are not willing to LEARN a game or are unable to understand mechanics but are the first ones to call everyone a cheater who is better than they.

there are two options:
1. LEARN the game, there are many tutorials on Youtube with many information and tips
2. Leave and look for a game that suits u better

Simple.
