The thread on playing with girls got locked so I thought I would open this one. My wife and I raised 5 children. All were gamers, including the youngest 2 who were female. I used to send them off with their older brothers to Halo parties with 4 systems (16 player). We knew the parents who hosted the parties and most of those attending.

I came to gaming as an alternative to golf (much cheaper - I'm an OK golfer). Personally, I think it would be fun to squad up with female players because they tend to think differently. Although I like to win, and I try to help my team, I also realize that an old fart like me is going to be outclassed by most of the people I play with. Maybe that is why I'm not terrified of the prospect of teaming up with female players.

FWIW, my daughters were better Halo players than most of the boys that showed up, even though they were younger than most of them.

Reminds me of back in the days when I still played and there were those questionable lobbies. I doubt you want your 12 year old daughters to reveal they are female in a lobby run by "HotBF" asking people their age and their instagram.
