Why are there so many Chinese(?) character names recently?

The Chinese servers got closed a year ago, and a lot of them played on international client via vpn anyway because apparently it was years behind on patches, this is not new

The reason everyone suddenly has a problem with Chinese players is because the game added support for Chinese characters so now people finally noticed they exist

I noticed an increase in Chinese names recently too so I changed my name to blend in lol.

Wasn't aware of that, only repeated what i read here that the Company responsible for it in China dipped out or something, didn't know that happened that long ago.

I personally don't mind Chinese players, i actually played China until high Tier but theres quite a few among them playing sus....

It’s kinda funny and why there are so many complaints about the early tree being copy pasted, gaijin didn’t actually have creative control of the Chinese server so their local partner went and implemented a Chinese tree to their own standards, if you are wondering what that means there are pictures online of the gold type 59 skin. Gaijin left a lot of the more questionable stuff behind…

At least that kind of Stuff isn't being put in here. Seems like people in EA usually tend to like more flashy, gacha and what not Stuff. But all else would be to political for this

That's why now you can see many nicknames, that looks strange for someone, who knows only Latin characters. But for players from China, Japan, Korea and, for example countries, where you use Cyrillic-based characters, it's much easier to recognize friends etc.

Did you read a word of those other responses? The Chinese server was closed a long time ago, it’s only become a problem for you clowns now that they are allowed to use Chinese characters in their names which happened much more recently. You have been playing with Chinese players for a long time but they have been forced to use the Latin alphabet so you never realised, it’s actually funny how we get all the anti Chinese posts not when they actually showed up but only when they got their own alphabet supported

Why should they prioritize Latin and Cyrillic just because you can't read it?
