As mentioned, it should be able to go faster, and I'm sure accelerate faster at that too.

for reference that smaller aircraft next to it as an arado 234, and the other one hiding in the back appears to be an he219. neither is small but both look it next to the do335
the thing may be a triumph of aerodynamics for its day but something that monstrously large being a little sluggish to get going and bleeding energy in a turn sounds pretty on point
