T-55-AMD-1 whats going on

I got a T-55A and im at 8.0 now and the AMD is 8.7, does it appear in uptiers, is my br still too low to meet those tanks or is there something bad about it that people dont use it?

kinda seems uptiered compared to other T-55s and i dont remember Drozd being a good APS system maybe thats why people dont play it alot

the only advantage is the APS, which isn't that useful

Most people drive the T-55AM-1 rather than the AMD also the AM is 8.3 rather than the AMD which is in the 8.7 uptier magnet zone. Technically speaking you should see them when you are in a full uptier but they will still be a rare sight compared to the premium AM-1.

Well, ZTZ 59a is at 7.7, he have a laser rangefinder, if he hits his BR, a nightmare happens, he simply throws his shells with the help of a rangefinder at fantastic distances, and if he encounters Sturmtiger or even a Maus, then there are cumulative shells exist.

So I think the ZTZ59A is the best tank out of all 54/55s based on its BR and capabilities, it still has the same disadvantages of this platform, but it's one thing to play on 7.7 and another on 8.7.
