which tanks are good in rank 3. I understand it is about br not ranking, but what is a good tank or good br rating in rank 3 to play in. Should i buy the tiger or is it a waste?

get a panther instead of a tiger

tiger is iffy with its penetration at its br but panthers longer 75mm has nearly 200mm of pen. Not as much explosive filler as the tigers 88 but it does still pack a punch. Its armor is also better due to its angle

The BR rank 3 I prefer to play is literally the lowest. Panzer 4 J, the premium one, Ostwind and Wirbelwind, Captured KV-2 and some CAS, often the Me 410 with the 50mm gun. All rank 3, no higher than 3.7 BR.

Yeah, its pretty well balanced and offers plenty of fun variety of vehicles to play with. Probably 40% of my playtime in the last two battlepasses came from that very lineup. Another 35% from Japan 3.7 with the M24 and a wide range of CAS. The rest is USA 4.0 with the Calliope and M4A2 and assorted things. I typically enjoy the pre-big cats BRs and Germany 3.7 is definitely among my favorites.

Rank 3 is a good rank for low rank play for Germany. The German vehicles at that rank enjoy a significant advantage over those of other nations. You can't go wrong with the usual suspects, Panthers and Tigers.

None of them are particularly bad, I would recommend focusing on the Tigers and Panthers over the tank destroyers as the Jagdpanther and all of the open tops require a bit of map knowledge and experience to do well in, their guns are fine but do to the hulls they have a learning curve which isn't quite as big of a deal with the Stug's. The SPAA's are also decent with the wirble being very good at swatting pilots out of the sky and the Ostwind being great for hunting light tanks like the R3 and hellcat.

The Churchhan's is fine, its not any worse off than the british ones outside of it escaping the more common high pen APHE guns in the BR due to it being german.

Yep, none of them are bad, none of them are really great aside from maybe the lovely KW-2, they are all average or slightly above with most being fine for new players and like 4 of them having a bit of nuance that will throw new players for a loop at first.

well i have talismaned a tiger H1, and it still serves me well, being top 3 most of the times.
