How to switch account

I just got a new computer. How do I access my old account?

I found one workaround. I had attached an e-mail to my new steam account with War Thunder (not played the game before) but a friend mentioned a referral link. Thus made a new account using the referral link and wanted to lose the old one (with maybe 30 mins playtime).

Basically just went to the gaijin website, logged in on the attached (to the steam) account and then deleted it. After 5 mins or so, launched the game again and it produced an error msg. 'Try again' option sent me to a login screen where I could use the desired account credentials.

I get sent to a login screen after launch now, but that's not a big issue, got all my steam achievements and steam overlay now.

I did this but no progress shows up. nothing. is this because it was previously used on playstation?

It is worked for me! But previously I requested delete WT account created by Steam - I cliched Username in the game and chose 'change nickname' - then requested delete account (be careful - delete only new account - that Steam created)

You NEED to bind your account first then and only then can you change your account.

There is a way, first close the game then turn off the internet connection, open war thunder, a error alert appears, minimize war thunder, turn on the internet connection and then go to war thunder click in try again (from the error alert that appeared), now you can sign in with another account.

And it's turned off too, sadly, gonna have to wait for a miracle to happen so we can play again.

If you find yourself in this situation, just follow these simple steps.
1. Turn off the internet connection;
2. Start WarThunder from STEAM;
3. Auto-Login fails, you get re-directed to the log in screen in WarThunder;
4. Reconnect the internet;
5. Log in with your old/existing account.

it just randomly logged me out of my acc, has anyone found a solution since 2023

--> Click on Username --> Profile
Then you will see Settings --> click on it to expand arrow and go to Profile (this profile is different from the other one)
At the bottom you will see "Delete Account" --> Delete it
--> get out of the game, log back in, you will see an error saying "couldn't connect your account"
Hit Try Again --> at this point the login screen will show up --> login with your account and it will persist moving forward, and better yet you can unlock Steam achievements

Guys Just delete the new account and login to ur old one.

You have to login gaijin Page with steam account then in the account setting delete the account and try to login the game from the steam then there will be error. So then you login to your gaijin account.
