and it's from ww2 not the cold war...
Another skill issue topic,next.
In this game eff. pen is everything, just like waffentrager could swipe enemy spawn in Poland even it got no armor and open top, but waffentrager at same br only got a long 88 bouncing around 6.7, m36b2 M341 HEATFS(which is an post war shell) can deal with most 7.7 armor easily.
Swedish is another problem, people want this faction and gaijin had to fill the line, and even give a 400 pen M4 to Italy, but these are minor factions, and US already has a fat line with crazy armor thickness HTs and good mobility all-arounders plus turret TD around 5.7 why gaijin still add another lolpen turret TD to it? It's like those lolpen TD at 6.7 are not enough
Likewise, I like my Pz IV E for the same reasons, BR 2.0 with 100 mm of HEAT. I just sit far away and fling HEAT.
Yes, I know most people don't do this but this is what I do with my BR 2.0 vehicles. I throw HEAT at small tanks.
The American 5.7 lineup really lacked a high pen gun, as well as something useable at longer ranges. The M36B2 solves both those issues. And I believe it pays for it's penetration by remaining an incredibly vulnerable vehicle and relying on 90mm HEAT damage.
I'd far prefer to be playing the Nashorn or Waffentrager over the M36B2, as the long 88 already has enough pen to realistically deal with anything I can see, plus the HE filler means I'm far more likely to oneshot what I hit.
Becuase it is, I use that against T95 frontally, erased a gang of is4 is3 and T54 spawn pushers in 2 mins, and spawn lock on many maps that are open-field. This shell pens through anything, turning game literally an FPS. And that's above 6.3 where most of enemy has coldwar zoom to find you out, now you have this in 5.7 you can easily snipe everyone to death as long as you have a good screen to read pixels, against a bunch of slowas wwii who move and maneuver like sitting duck
