Why does researching take so damn long?

been play for three days going on 4 and have only just gotten a 1.7 br. my interest is dwindling fast in this game having to play 500 rounds just to get one awful plane, I just keep getting one shotted an just not having fun at all.

The grind is purposefully designed to push players towards paying real money to buy Premium time or vehicles to make it shorter.

Depends on what you expect from the game. And what the main cause of playing it is for you.

If you are one of the People who watched the youtube Ad "Blablabla modern jets blablabla Modern Warfrae blablabla F-16" and wanted to play it because of the modern stuff:
You are in for a LONG ... LONG ride of misery.

If you started playing because you enjoy the Simple times when Tanks and planes were in their infant state at the start of WWII and every nation had their own idea and designs:

You will have tons of fun rolling though the early techtrees for every nation.


Your choice BUT ... "the Route is the Destination" you dont take a hike because you want to get back home again, but to enjoy the things DURING the trip.

bro your new to the game so yeah no duh its gonna be tough also tier 1 is notoriously grindy research speeds up at tier 2 but will slow down at tier 4.
and besides your not supposed to research everything in a few hours gaijin wants you to play the game long term so its grindy on purpose.

also tier 1 is basically the tutorial tier where you learn how to play the game and the various vehicles it offers your not supposed to go through it quickly otherwise you will not gain the skills needed to compete in higher tiers if you can just play through tier 1 in just an hour.

Money can solve that issue.

It won't solve the skill issue tho.

Other games that have everything available from the start or unlockable in any order don't have a research tree. Maybe he is not the one you should be calling "idiot".

wait how does me saying new players expecting there to be no grind makes no sense sound at all like i wan't tech trees "pre-researched"?. that's not at all what i'm saying friend did you misread my comment?.

When a game is advertised almost exclusively showing modern vehicles, it's only natural that new players will expect modern vehicles and not early WWII. Most MMOs do not pull a bait & switch.

I guess I mostly expected a faster research time, ik I'm not an expert pilot an all that. And I knew I'd have to grind for planes but it feels like it'll take for ever bc everyone seems 10x better than me.

Can you please show me an MMO where in the ads, it shows players with starting gear? For the love of god, do some research before getting a game.
