It's usually easy to spot enemy vehicle on move, especially when majority of low rank battles are full of rambos spraying their MG here and there.
If you want to check how someone manage to spot you, simply jump into server replay ( https://warthunder.com/en/tournament/replay/ ), launch the battle and check PoV of player who destroyed you (switch replay view to no.2 - player camera).
It's still very advantageous, especially with thermals as the foliage is a lot thinner and has gaps between it.
Edit: It also makes ground targets very visible to aircraft.
turn on your monitor
look at your screen
After 500+ hours in realistic battle you can tell the difference between the barely visible tank pixels and bush pixels pretty easily. You also get REALLY good at differentiating engine noises between tank models.
But, that's why bushes are more than cosmetic. Noobs are fooled by just turning your engine off and waiting. Good players are good enough in RB that you need extra "cosmetics" to break up your figure in order to actually hide.
Not convinced that is totally fixed, at all.
What is funny the OP's username looks a lot like the one that was aimbotting i n a game of squad last night.
I have reported 3 cheaters in the last 3 months. I have played GRB since before there was a GRB. Thereis an aimbot and also a way to play GRB in arcade mode ( enemy tags showing). You can spot this by watching replays and using the players ( 2 key) view.
you can't talk abot cheting here though, you will get some wierd ass replies from people who have no clue ( bots?) and some others will pour salt on the thread and then lock it . They can't be named but they know who they are and what we think of them.
no ♥♥♥♥ that first response is like he didn't even read the title of the thread. This is super rare but I have hit tanks by making a wild guess and just lobbing rounds at the enemy spawn. you miss 100% of the shot you don't take.
the op title says BR4.0 ...
