Chaff utterly useless in 11.7?
I find myself using almost my entire CM reserve trying to prevent a lock, even after notching and identifying whether PD or SRC is being used to lock me and taking the appropriate evasive action. (Going perpendicular when locked by PD, and lowering altitude to have ground clutter behind me when locked by SRC) Even after all this, I somehow end up getting sniped by an AIM-7F. Any tips?

Chaff only works when you are flying opposite from the radar locking you. If you can, instead of flying perpendicular to the radar, just go full backwards. 100% it will miss you.

You dont have to always go low or fly perpendicular. Another way is to crank the missile heading towards you. This video is one of the perfect examples on how to beat them with cranking: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ka_duhsT2Oo

I don't want to force my playstyle on you but at 11.7 Always I fly as low as i can. Players who always fly high are just asking to be sniped by SARH missiles. 90% of all my kills are from my F14, MLD, Mig-29 equipped with SARH missiles.
