What you have in WT is a surface position lock, that means when you set your elevator trim for takeoff, you're not using the actual TRIM but the elevator itself. This is why the trimming system in WT is pretty pathetic, because once you use your "trim" you don't have 100% of the control surface authority because well, it's the same thing. If you set your "trim" to 30% guess what? You only have 70% of inputs left.
And about trimming the aircraft... well, yeah, you have to trim in every moment of the flight in every configuration of the plane. Takeoff? Trim. Takeoff with flaps up? Trim. Takeoff with 1 notch of flaps? Trim. After takeoff, flaps up, trim. After reach some more speed, trim again. The plane is heavy with fuel and bombs? Trim more and so on. If you change your speed during the flight tou have to configure your trim accordingly, this is how it works.
Talking about handflying, the trims are just important as the other flight controls.
You have to use that much of "trim" because obviously flight dynamics is not something gaijin understand because a TRIM is supposed to help you to keep the flight level or do certain procedures but in WT your trim is your surface controls.
I take off will at trim at 0% ( neutral )
i do a dogfight that put me in an unstable condition and -the game- automatically give me a +30% aileron trim and +25% aileron trim.
These new settings put my aircraft in an incredible unstable setting : constantly having a roll induced.
I go back in steady flight i have to set back all these to 0.
is there a way to cancel the auto +30%?
This is happening because you have your trim set in the control section. Go to option - controls and search for "trim" and you will see what are the controls they are using.
