Auto-trim in airSB
I have the setting Auto-trim off, but it will still modify my trim setting in dogfight with insane amount : +30 elevator trim ...

Is it a bug? Is there another place in settings or controls where i can put this off.

I have instructor off too if it's somehow related.

I take off will at trim at 0% ( neutral )
i do a dogfight that put me in an unstable condition and -the game- automatically give me a +30% aileron trim and +25% aileron trim.
These new settings put my aircraft in an incredible unstable setting : constantly having a roll induced.

I go back in steady flight i have to set back all these to 0.

is there a way to cancel the auto +30%?

This is happening because you have your trim set in the control section. Go to option - controls and search for "trim" and you will see what are the controls they are using.

Ok, this happens because there is NO TRIM SYSTEM in WT. Yeah... people who have no idea about aviation think they have trim in WT, but they don't.

What you have in WT is a surface position lock, that means when you set your elevator trim for takeoff, you're not using the actual TRIM but the elevator itself. This is why the trimming system in WT is pretty pathetic, because once you use your "trim" you don't have 100% of the control surface authority because well, it's the same thing. If you set your "trim" to 30% guess what? You only have 70% of inputs left.

And about trimming the aircraft... well, yeah, you have to trim in every moment of the flight in every configuration of the plane. Takeoff? Trim. Takeoff with flaps up? Trim. Takeoff with 1 notch of flaps? Trim. After takeoff, flaps up, trim. After reach some more speed, trim again. The plane is heavy with fuel and bombs? Trim more and so on. If you change your speed during the flight tou have to configure your trim accordingly, this is how it works.

Talking about handflying, the trims are just important as the other flight controls.

You have to use that much of "trim" because obviously flight dynamics is not something gaijin understand because a TRIM is supposed to help you to keep the flight level or do certain procedures but in WT your trim is your surface controls.

The previous answers are pretty correct. I used to be a Huey crewchief and it doesnt have any "trim" it had a thing called Force Trim. It just kind of locks your control stick to what ever you have inputted. Its over ride-able of course but when you take pressure off the stick it gently wants to come back to were you had it. WT kind of duplicates that. It works pretty good with a HOTAS. (Joystick) You do have to reset it a lot. Its more like a Stay Here Button. There is a key bind for it.. Watch some videos... I think the bind is like way at the bottom of the list. And I think you have to shut some other bind off because of conflicts. (There are so may Keybinds!) learn how to save your control set ups and change them when you change vehicles. Good Luck. SIM is fun.
yea i have the same issue and no idea how to get rid off it, there is infact trim in war thunder but for whatever reason switching from mouse aim to full real i get something like 85% autotrim which is just plain ridicilous, i tried disabling auto trim in controls and such but didn't help, essentially what the game does is deflects my elevator like 85% up making me unable to pitch down and only pitch to -15 and 100% of deflection, i don't have a flight stick so i just use mouse but it is very annoying constantly having to move my mouse because the game is tweaking out, in the trim section of the controls i have literally no keybinds set, i tried to do stuff in there but none seems to be working, it has a trimming system but it is very dumb unless you set 3 quadrillion keybinds
