Bring the F-5C downtier

Ever since the Apex Predator update, the F-5C feels like a downgraded pigeon in a bald eagles fight. 9.7 should work.

This has to be a joke right? The F-5C would absolutely dominate in a 9.7 game it's already very good where it is. Imagine being in an MiG-15 and fighting that thing.

F-5C is great, you get flares along with a decent dogfighting platform and tons of ammo for average guns. I'm assuming OP is either trolling or just relies on missiles to get his kills.

A F5C vs a Mig15 late would be very equal
and that was the case IRL
well generally mig 17s not 15s would match better.

1) War thunder is not meant to mimick real life battles and engagements
2) In a 1v1, who would win?

Chinese and Russian Aircraft at 10.3 get far better missiles far earlier. The only planes I can pray on are A-10s these days and that's because on average the pilots are absolute morons. You can no longer use it's roll rate to your advantage because planes can LITERALLY FLY FASTER THAN YOUR MISSILES.

It easily went from arguably the best grinder to probably one of the worst overnight. 10.3 has become an absolute slaughter for any plane that isn't a $70 dollar premium. The tiers need to be adjusted immediately. Either the F-5C goes down, or everything added this patch goes up.

Excuses. War Thunder doesnt simulate real life but it also shouldn't pair a fighter 2 generations newer with a fighter from vietnam. Period. It's like putting the NBA team against the middle school basketball after school program and saying you can't see why there's a problem. Half the planes in this BR bracket now have 14+ kilometer engagement distances with high kill probability and both flare and chaff resistant missiles.

The F-5C is relegated now to basically being a fast attack bomber with a terrible spawn. Thanks gaijin.

And Pz IVs fought M48s in the six day war. Does that mean we should bring the Patton to br 4.0?
War Thunder balancing is not what would have fought what irl, but what vs what appears to be fair (minus the br compression...)

Honestly this is just sad. F-5C has been the best rank VI premium jet the entire time. And now there are some rank VII premium planes ya all feel threatened that they curb stomp you.

You just literally described the swedish tech tree jets, but instead of usually being the stomper, you're now the one getting stomped.

Imagine how constantly being in a 10.3 match with A32A (no countermeasures, no missiles, subsonic jet with low G tolerance) going against F5C's felt like (cant take the countermeasures unless I want to die to a MIG21 when im halfway towards friendly base). It was ass. Or J32B Lansen, another subsonic jet, with low G tolerance, NO countermeasures, and rear-aspect missiles with 10G tolerance (which btw, dont hit ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ because going against F5Cs and MIG21's and so forth, they have a million flares and i can only carry 2 ♥♥♥♥ missiles.)

And here i am, still standing at higher winrate than average F5C user. Even though its far superior jet in every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ way.

10.3 is too low based on what is on 9.3... least last i played, perhaps they moved the 9.3s down to "fix" the statistics.
