There are plenty of tutorials on how to play. You can't expect to dominate if you are just holding W.
2. No dumb name markers above the heads letting people know where you are
3. Those 'markers' in arcade show about where you should hit and definitely seem to not give you the correct area to hit the tank. Even when it does, there's no skill to shooting tanks if you are given the point to hit the tank for penetration
4. BR seems to be way out of wack in arcade compared to realistic
5. You get the plane you want to fly in and not what the game gives you like in arcade. I want to be able to fly the plane that best suits the situation and one that I'm used to flying instead of a random one each game
6. More money and more experience
The list goes on and on, but you go from a casual hand holding experience, to actually having to play the game and get good with it. There's campers on both sides and cheaters as well no matter which game mode you play on. But realistic gives you the most fun when you are playing and doesn't hold your hand. Although, russian bias holds your hand no matter which game mode you play on, so realistic battles only help the non-russian tanks/planes.
in Ground AB you can pretty much see every enemy and what tank they are playing etc.
In Ground RB you dont see where they are and you have to use your eyes and ears.
In Air AB its a complete furball where everyone just flies into the big mass in the middle.
getting killed just means you come back in a different plane.
In air RB your actions in the match have more Weight to them and can literally decide if you win or lose, you also need to play to your Planes strength and you only have ONE life which often prevents people from just going Kamikaze.
Arcade also favors heavy buffy tanks and thus nations like France, Italy and Japan suffer a lot.
For me, RB is so slow and sluggish, it feels like your driving in mud.
I like the markers in AB and use them strategically and plan ahead. I can use the map to get info where the enemies are and use that knowledge to dominate the battlefield. The indicator exist and can sometimes work, but for the most part it's useless. It can be green and you dont penetrate, or it's red and you penetrate perfectly fine.
AB is a very different gamemode comparied to RB and it does requre skills in order to be good. It's not easy. AB is much faster. Vehicles are constatly driving around the battlefield and if you know how to use your vehicles properly, then you'll dominate the match.
The crew skill gain in arcade is WAY better than in realistic and for daily tasks, the speed and efficiency you can find in arcade really helps you get those out of the way.
Not knocking anybody for liking AB , just saying why i do not play them.
One thing i wish they would remove from RB tanks is the magic sprinkle dust mg fire , that lets you see through bushes trees and smoke... it's annoying as heck , i always feel cheated when i get killed because of it.
playing the map more intelligently without the "cheaty" name tags
THIS
only RB brings me adrenaline, I can hide in forest for real, be sneaky around a building, flank and get the equal number of jump scare when someone does the same!
It's more frustrating but equaly rewarding, true emotions for me
