Right answer : Packet Loss, number of information lost when client side is sending infos to server side, can be responsible for ghost shells teleportation and other most annoying occurance

PL stands for packet loss. A high percentage of it isn't good.

thanks Fox. :)

Also responsible to some plane spazzes.
thanks alot guys, especially you Fox, unfortunately myn goes high lots of times, is there a way to reduce it, or do i just have to have better ping?
my ping goes around 200 230.
PL is often high with high pings, select better server to start with (on the drop down menu for game modes, its at the bottom of it)

If you use Wi-Fi, don't. That's going to be the first cause of packet loss unless you aren't near any other Wi-Fi enabled household.
Haa thanks, too bad the only thing i can use is Wi-Fi as other methods are too expensive.
It only sometimes happen not all the time.

Yeah for gaming you better avoid Wifi it has the biggest PL potential due the the fact its all wireless

Things to do is to get closer to the box if you can, the shorter the distance from it and you computer the smaller is the ping and PL as the radio wave doesn't have to go through walls n ♥♥♥♥

Thanks Fox, help a lot.
High ping is playable. Packet loss is a killer regarless of ping.
On Us servers i get about 220-250 and can easily top leaderboards in air. No real loss in gameplay as far as im concerned.
EU is about 400 ping and this is where i notice a big difference. Cant dodge reliably out of fire and end up getting shot etc, as i should with this ping.

Packet loss though, 1-2% you dont notice a problem, but as it gets higher it feels like you are flying in turbulence, losing 10-20m height in instant bursts, plane changing angle of direction etc, if it last long enough every plane with hit the deck.

As for wifi, you should be able to run some network cable from your PC to the router atleast for gaming, even if you have to have a cord running through a hallway etc, it is well worth it, cable is cheap. Not alway sthe option to drill holes everywhere to hide it away.
Never had a PC thats had wifi capability myself, always wired in. Work latops a different story.

Also, check any programs that may download, auto updates for programs etc. Thatll make packet loss skyrocket. not much you can do with multiple PCs in a house though.
I use WiFi and I don't get any PL unless I'm watching YouTube while playing or something. The modem is right below my room, though.
well its got to be my ping, as the EU servers all run 207 to 230 ping and my PL is below 10, but my Wi-Fi isnt constant, sometimes it stays 207 230, but then it can go to 400 and 999 and stays there for a long time, sometimes the holl day, i do live a bit far away from the nearest town, and here it is like farm lands, so i gess all that needs to be done is to get a better Wi-Fi or move.
Thanks for all the help.
Is it only WT that applies to this or..?

P.S Sorry for being so late, just had some problems also.

No, packet loss applies to all multiplayer games.

Some good information on the subject and remedies can be found here: https://www.annese.com/blog/what-causes-packet-loss Its a somewhat interesting read.

Also locked due to this being a necro.

If you feel this topic should be revived feel free to create a new thread if there isn't a more recent one currently being used since the last couple weeks.
