Kill stealing and the reason why people TK kill stealers

if someone crits and lights a target on fire and dose 95% of the work to take down a enemy and gets a assist 50% of the reward for 95% of the work done while the other guy dose 5% and gets 100% of the reward how dose person 1 feel he will most likely TK person 2 for being a ksing scrub person 2 cant be mad because he praticly had to do nothing for a kill showing he has less skill then person 1 in the 1st place gaijin needs to reward basied on work done to take down a target not on who gets the kill.

They should change it to where the points are shared more evenly, like 'player 1 + player 2 killed player 3 instead of only 1 getting the kill and the other the assist. That could help?

going to tell you a little story...

first, i'm not a great player, and i dont need to be, this is just a game and games are designed to have fun, and i have lot of fun with this one. So i was flying my P-63 mid altitude, looking for a target, when coming from nowhere (well at least i didnt see them coming :/, told u... not a great player...) i notice a spitfire on my 6, the big one, with the 20mm, and as if this was not enough, a FW just behind it (those beasts frighten me like hell :/). At that point, all went very fast and i was on fire, and heading straight to the ground (once again, not great player :/). The spit pulls off, the FW too but fire went out, I had a black wing, so i could only fly at 90°... but i was still flying.

then that was one of those moments of pure luck, or the Force maybe, dunno... but i still managed to kill 4 fighters (including said spitfire lol) and a bomber (37mm helps here...) before i was finally shot down... by AAA (so as i understand it noone gets the precious kill).

point is: as long as a plane is not burning on the ground or exploded in the sky, he is not dead, and he remains a threat to your team. As long as you didnt put him definitly down, kill is not yours. Now it's easier to rage about KS than about yourself (well... u didnt finish the job did u?), but actually if u get angry from a game, u dont have fun, so what's the point in playing it?

'Kill stealing' is a myth made up by scrubs who are incapable of actually shooting down planes. Though the worst I've come across, recently I got tk'd for 'cap stealing'.... Where will it end?

this is teamwork game, kill assists happen lot in teamwork game. i dont care if someone want to steal kill.. actually, he's helping me not to waste time on one target when i can be flank by more enemies. your kills will not help if you dont have teamwork to win the game.

seems like the lot of you is missing the point,a kill steal is if you crit said enemy so much to the point were he is going to go down no matter what and someone else comes in puts a few rounds into said plane RIGHT BEFOR he goes down thats a pure KS. because the game rewards based on the last person to shoot not on how much damage one dose to the other so if a plane is about to hit the ground he could be 10 meters off and a ally could legitimetly put 1 7.7 into said plane and it will count as HIS kill when he smacks the ground

i assume you play simulator mode,cause thats pretty much the only mode youre sure a plane on fire is going down.in AB a plane on fire dosnt mean that he is dead for sure.

WOT sees a HUGE amount of 'kill stealing' id have people run across the map JUST soo they could get the 'coveted' top gun medals while i just didnt really care after a while (you cna and do get sick of some purple rates ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who lets you win the flank and then cleans up the kills for stats), let them have their precious kills, 15+ assists (in WT) and the fact u single handedly turned the tables and won the match is usually enough for most ppl

WOT XP and credit rewards are based on damage not kills wich WT rewards needs to turn more in this directinon in WOT its all about Damage you do not on kills someone who dose 1500 Dmg and gets no kills will be more rewarded then someone who dose 500 with 5 kills for example

Look, having your kill stolen can be annoying, I myself have had that happen to me several times, but hey - it's one more dead enemy and a step closer to victory.

If you are so immature that you try to team kill someone, even if it's for "kill stealing", you deserve to be banned.

OP - It just means you need to improve your skills. You shouldn't be spending more than 5 seconds to kill a plane, when in range, when other did when they joined into your lame dogfight.

Sometimes people need to be TK for being so stupid, like diving on a target which is 3km below you.

Last night i shot a B25 with 2 hits and got "pilot is unconcious" so i flew up and attacked another enemy further away. A few minutes later i notice i have an assist for that B25 kill, because a teammate chased him as he was falling to the ground and emptyed their entire ammo belts to cause damage... and they got the kill award.

If the pilot gets knocked out in few shots, surely the kill should go to the person who took out the pilot? A pilot-less plane is not a threat.

Sometimes the accusations are just silly. Like i got had a go out recenty for "stealing a kill".
Yes the plane was on fire so usually i'd leave it, but my team mate had pulled off and the fighter was bombing it toward another team mate mid landing on the objective.
He had already begun opening fire when i shot him down, if he hadn't shot my team mate down he would have rammed him at the least.
I stopped that from happening and we captured the airfield.

All it takes is a lucky shot from the enemy tank in its death throes and you're gone. I'd rather my team worked together and got the job done quickly.
