How does research work in the game?

how does research work? My research doesn't seem to take time to finish, and to boost research you have to spend a premium currency to convert the rp so how do you research something without spending premuim currency?

By simply playing the game. If you play the vehicle before the one you're researching you will earn a bonus towards it.

Researching is split up into tiers. Any vehicle can research any tier, however you won't earn as many research points if you're say researching a Tier V with a Tier I than you would be if you were using a Tier IV.

You play the game (random battle or events), any Research Points you gained will go to the vehicle you have selected for research.
You DO NOT need to boost research to unlock vehicles.

No it isn't. Only Tiers IV and V take forever and need adjusting, especially module grind.

Playing 70-80 games just to get a Tier III tank isn't outrageous? Just to get to Tier IV It takes about 500 battles where about every other game uses a system where you only need to research the tank and then you can progress without researching any others. Far more simple and time saving...

500 battles starting in the Tier 3 Area. In total it takes about 1.3 thousand battles to get to Tier 4

Oh we're talking about tanks. Yes, tank research grind is insane and it's one of the reasons why I don't play tanks. Aircraft are fine until IV and V though.

I work the trees horizonally,.I buy a plane in,.modded it up completely,.then go for the next on the tree,.small steps but it works out great,.I'm playing Tier 2 planes and I have already bought all the tier 3 planes and haven't even used them yet,and I have a reserve of 1 million silver lions and 1.3 RP points.
If you have say 4 crews,.use two of them to install new planes when you have modded the last plane completely,.Modding planes will boost your RP's so take advantage of it,.
You can decide to shoot up a certain tree but you will be in a load of frustration,.believe me,.I've been there,.No silver lions,no real skills and ended up getting shot to pieces all the time,.
So be patient,.take your time,.work on your skills,.learn your planes and you will enjoy the game a lot more,.

Quick note:
Climbing the plane and tank trees work on a sliding scale,.the hire you go the more EVERYTHING will cost,.so unless you want to dump a lot of $$ into the game take your time.
