F4U-4B 24k repair cost?
This is insane, how exactly is that balanced? 24k SL is more than I make in an average 2 kill match. And this is when it's stock!

Low key, its cost is so high because despite what the usual allied brainlets would have you think, its hands down the best 6.0 or below fighter in the game. It could easily hold up at 6.3 if its engine performance was a tad bit closer to the u-5
lol no
Climbrate meta says hi.
Lol no, "You cant roll with me in a dive, whats that youre infront of me now because you cant control your speed like I can? Pow." meta says hi.

Not every plane is a slave to this dumbass "iF iM hIgHeR i WiN" meta game you guys think is in play all the time every time.

Climbrate meta is over exaggerated.

US Aircraft have dive speed, solution is to not follow them all the way to the deck in a dive. Thats all we have, we have (in the Corsairs case only) about equivelent manuverability, much worse climb rates and thus energy state at the start of combat, you see where im going with this.

Altitude = Win, you dont just magically get an 80% winrate in the G-2 for no reason.

Climb to 4,500m, level out get to 450-500, german brainlet dives from stratosphere, 10 degree shallow dive and quickly reach 650 plus congratulations you've just won if he pulls hard.

Lazily chandelle and he's all yours. Its gotten me a 10-1 k/d easy because 109 and 190 pilots are more predictable than a fight between a baby and a grizzly bear. Literally the only things to even moderately worry about are Ta-152H's, Yak-3u's and Yak-3 VK107s, aside from them nothing can retain energy like you unless youre being the usual allied player and yanking the stick all over. Yes a K-4 has a great power to weight, but its not holding its energy in drawn out vertical engagement over distance.

Edit: I'm not pointing out opinions here, I'm explaining tried and tested, proven techniques. If you want to ignore them and scream lalalala i'm not listening thats up to you but it works.

No matter what you do 109s will come down from orbit and swarm you, the only allied plane at 5.0 that can compete is the P-38K and it's a premium.

Yes the P-38K will out 109 a 109, but seriously American planes arent played properly by many because to execute their strengths and absolutely violate german aircraft is a very boring process, or at least imo.

that all hinges on the K-4 not knowing what he's doing, i.e killing his energy and not choosing the right time to dive. I've flown 109s and the -4 Corsair, not quite the 4B and K-4 but the G-2 and the F4U-4 against eachother, 109 wins every time hands down, and the -4B brings nothing much over the -4 outside of slightly better engine performance.

The F4u4 is nothing like the 4B. Flown properly the 4B is like taking regular -4 corsair and giving it bullshark testosterone below 6k. YOU DO NOT NEED ALL THE ALITITUDE IN THE WORLD. All you need is speed and patience in the 4B. There is no 109 in the game that has the ability to hold energy in a shallow climb with a 4B corsair, this is not debatable it is a fact of the game and reality.

until the -4B runs out of altitude. then he's ♥♥♥♥♥♥. The entire point of it, is that US Aircraft need altitude to work, and quite alot of it. when he cant dive you can catch him with ease, and what is he going to do, speed away? where do you propose he gets 300-400mph of energy from less then 1000 ft off the deck.
What American planes BR 4.0-6.0 would you recommend to avoid this altitude meta issue? I recently got into realistic after grinding tier V and the only planes I've had much luck with are the F6F-5N, the captured 109 premium, the P-61 Black Widow, and the P-51H. Other aircraft are either low br and don't net enough rewards or are underperforming compared to their Axis counterparts. On average while using the Corsairs, Mustangs, Lightnings, etc I only get 1 or 2 kills before being swarmed by the rest of the 109s who outperform me in almost every way.
The F4U-4B is literally one of the best, if not the best 5.7 fighter.

G-10 doesn’t give a #### about your K-4.
Repair costs are just getting out of hand across the board. They really need to stop doing this crap.
