yes i sometimes do
its on tough games where your team is useless, its rare, but anoying
well thats you but im different
try to speng GE to skill up the crews, it makes an enormous difference for some parameters.
Tanks crew : Skill repair on the drivers , the gunner and the servant
Skill Driver Drive skill as max as you can
Skill the RELOAD skill of the servant ( is epic on tanks like KV2 or high calibers )
Planes Crew :
Here on ONE crew slot you MUST skill Bombardment parameters and the NUMBERS of expert gunners, also some "piloting" skills
The 2nd Crew you have to skill up all the first tab skills to use fighters at their best
Is better to have 2-3 Crew slots but skilled then having 6 but unskilled
exactly
That is advice in a way telling him that you very very rarely need more than 5 slots so in turn i am sugesting that he uses it in another way.
My advice spend it on premium on a day where you know you can just sit there and farm for the whole day.
or i could use the extra slot to properly level up the crew instead of just leveling the crew whenever i can
The biggest benefit is for realistic tank battles, as in those you can use planes and tanks. By having a wide selection of vehicles available i can adapt what I use to the situation. My loadout usually consists of:
1) fast and cheap tank (good for cap runs)
2) TD (for maps with good field of fire or choke points)
3) heavy (general use)
4) jet fighter (incase the enemy air spam)
5) bomber (anti tank use)
6) prop cannon (like the mosquito, prop gives lots of time on target and cannon can take out plenty of light/med tanks before rearm)
7) a plane with rockets (good for hunt/kill end game as they can take out multiple tanks of any size).
or maybe swap one out for something like AAA for if we need air cover and my planes too expensive or a rocket tank if i'm feeling edgy lol.
The battles are fluid, and your tactics have to adapt with them. Doesn't hurt to cover all the bases if you have the eagles to spend. Crew skill seems a waste to me, as you get that anyway, and if you get good with a low skill crew, then anything on top of that is a bonus. Also if you plan carefully, you can train different crew for different vehicles (eg some crews for bombers, some for fighters or some for tank destroyers, some for light tanks)
