lighter armoured tanks like Panther [sides]s or american TDs it just melts
But shooting air targets with it is not easiest thing, even aa trucks are better.
P.S. Cant check it out at the moment, but i think P means subcaliber (APCR). So you should choose BR167P.
The 37 has enough penetration to take out a lot of tanks from the front with no need to flank. It being at 4.7 makes it extremely good for the BR range.
The 57 is quite honestly the best tier 5 tank the soviets have. It eats Leopards for breakfast.
