Does the spitfire mk 16 (XVI) suck

i finally got this plane and it has been nothing but a disappointment , i get the wings are clipped meaning its turn time is worse and the new 266 packard engine makes it faster ( i think) but its terrible at everything , it cant boom and zoom as the wings just snap off and the enemy will just kill you at high alt anyway is its not designed for high alt , it cant dogfight because of the clipped wings , its literally a nugget with a propeller , i feel it needs to be balanced better to maybe 4.3

and so many people say random ♥♥♥♥ about it the plane is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ enigma to me , ill be flying at around 800 bf109s higher than be and then bang im shot down by a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ g10 and they are all faster than me

the plane is actually quite great, just finish up the grind before you see actual potential. it plays like the fw190, great roll, capable engine but still has fundamental overheating and serviceable turn time but importantly dont go too high since it's a low altitude fighter.

like wise the bf109 or axis teams being above you is quite normal for 3.0-5.7 BR, i'd recommend to stick with friendlies and use them as bait while you try to get higher than the enemy, just enough for you to BnZ them.
