T29 Heavy Tank
What's the best way to kill a T29 with 5.7BR tanks? I can't seem to find any weak points to effectively kill it when using tanks below a 6.7BR.

Hulldown, its pretty beast. Almost on par with a KT. Best way is to avoid frontal confrontation and flank

Lower glacis, you hit through there, you blow the whole thing up; if not, you should aim for the sides of the hull, they're weakest

If the T29 is hull down, really your only hope is the gunner's optic since at 203mm it has the thickest of the 6.7 heavy tanks. If he isn't giving you a shot at it then save yourself the trouble and flank around him and aim for ammo racks. Having 6 crew members means it can take a surprisingly long time to take it out that way.

If it isn't hull down, lower glacis plate though it may be somewhat unreliable.

Your only option is to flank it or shoot it when it is distracted. With those short 88s and 85s you have a drastically low chance to beat it frontally. Lower glacis and sides should blow the HUGE ammo rack at the bottom or at least, immobilize the whole thing.
Be careful though, that thing has an amazingly fast turret traverse and it is not so slow either. Shooting the turret usually detonates the ammo racks there(which happens to me all the time).

Oh Stinger, you poor poor player...you should know that it's best to take out all shells from your turret when possible and optimal....35 is my preferred number since once you fire the first shot, you have no more shells in the turret

I thought those shells were permament since they didnt work for me when 1.59 first got released. Thanks man, I'll change them

Np, what do you mean they didn't work for you? It's just a rule of thumb for me, if you can help it getting ammo out of the turret and sides of the tank, then do it as much as you can while having a comfortable amount of ammo left in the tank

Best way bomb his a..
It should be first priority for air strikes.

The side is pretty weak, you can pen it with a Panther D or Tiger H1. If you use APCR with a panzer IV, then you might also.

If I'm not mistaken the T-29s base ammo storage is in the turret so no matter how much ammo you leave out you'll have some in the turret. Don't quote me on this though.

in a frontal engagement with a Tiger I your best bet is honestly to bend over and take it, if the game feels like modelling it it has 300mm on the mantlet (100mm secondary plate) but the games pretty weird about that kind of thing
the lower glacis you can probably penetrate, but youll likely just kill the driver

your best bet is to flank it, but generally thats more of a luck of the draw kinda thing depending on how you find it rather than a legitimate tactic you can aim for

dear god, T29 getting downtiered.

It was like that when 1.59 was first released. I have no idea how to get rid of the huge ammo racks back then, since it was like a perma-rack, til Jonclee told me the correct amount to remove the shells in the turret. Now all of them are in the bottom of my tank, yay.

I have a T29, I know the ammo situation for this tank, so don't question me on this

For the lower glacis, when you pen it, it's more likely you'll hit the large ammo racks, since it's right past the plate xD trust me it works extremely well
