what is capital ship ? battleship or carrier? is that player controller?
u boat? wtf happend?
what about japan?
japan tanks?
But any large ships will be AI controlled while playings are playing in Attack craft, or PT boats it sounds like.
Even Destroyers are a "Maybe" for players to control.
Now CV's just makes sense because planes are controlled by other players.
And manually controlled CV's could lead to horrible horrible trolling
*See an ally plane coming in for a landing, final moments of approach*
*CV throws it into full port/starboard and causes the plane to crash into the Bridge/Tower*
But who knows! Things could change. They might just start out as smaller things and ease into larger ones.
I have bad premonition in this.
maybe its time to uninstall :(
im not sure if destroyers count, but battleships, cruisers, carriers all that are capital ships
subs we'll never get.
simply modelling sub-surface details would be so much effort
Pretty sure there's an American PT109, so it won't be like the GF Beta.
Seriusly? You're going to uninstall just because a completely new game mode will be launched early 2017... I think it's safe to assume you enjoy the current state, so just keep playing with planes and tanks, noone will pressure you to play ships.
This is a really dumb discussion. I am mean, they made a huge post and answered a ♥♥♥♥ load of questions.

i understand that adding player controlled capital ships would not end well, but the excuses they gave were awful
'not all nations had big navies' like they dont have tier 5s?
'we value realism' just lol
'you'll be sailing for hours' and i suppose normal tank battles only took 20mins tops?
real issues are how durable capital ships were, the low manuaverability of ships and sheer amount of systems that normally took thousands to control
honestly if they can make full trees of boats/small ships, im in
but they have to admit its a kick in the teeth for most people and they shouldnt have sprung it on us like this
Hopefully larger ships will be added, but I get the rationale behind their decision so far. There's a reason sims work best with smaller ships, which is why you have successful games like Silent Hunter and no battleship sims to speak of.
this is a game is it?
condensing 5 guys into 1 for a tank is already less than perfect
crew could be divided or not show up in the sip. instead replaced by cabins. the crew are shown in numbers.
even destroyer have many crews.
