How to kill russian tanks (Tier 2 - 3)
Hi all Im taking a break from flying bombers, I am now playing tanks using British Nation.

RB BATTLE
I need major tips, I basicly get lots of critical hits but they seem to kill me with one shot everytime, I am using british tanks. I found out if I hit russian tanks by the tracks half the time I do more damage than any other spot.

Here is what happen today I shot a t34, (4 times) and he hit me once i died straight away,
I am behind tree covers, T34 is on open field facing 2pm from me.

1st shot I hit his fuel tank he was on fire, (T34 HAS NOT SPOTTED ME YET)
2nd shot I also hit the ammo deck, (T34 HAS NOT SPOTTED ME YET)
3rd shot I hit the loader and killed one crew. (T34 IS LOOKIN ON MY DIRRECTION)
4th shot I hit front of the t34 amazingly it penetraded but he killed me with one shot. (T34 MOVES TO FACE ME HEAD ON AROUND 800M FROM EACH OTHER)

I am ♥♥♥♥ scared of russian tanks, because they always kill me. I have even hit a russian tank from behind and he managed to kill me while I was reloading.

What is the best shell to use against russian tanks?

Aim the turret, no breach no worries, follow up with a engine shot so he can't roll away

If your good enough aim the turret ring, long range shot with a broken drive is borderline impossible to do

Once you have APDS you can go through them like butter

When facing low BR Soviet tanks like the T-34, you always want to go for the turret first. It is there (quite large) weak point. A hit there can dissable the traverse, break the breech, or kill the gunner. Even if you have a side shot, go for the turret, then engine, and turret again. Pump rounds into the turret so when a new crew member switches there, you will kill him as well and repeat (or go for the driver if you have an extra second).

Fuel tanks can soak up a lot and ammo rack hits are quite random. Brtish 57mm guns are great for this due to good pen and very fast reloads. But the downside is that you have flat armor that is quite thin and a cramped interior while the Soviets packed a lot of HE filler into there AP shells, making it very easy to knock out an entire British and German (not as much for the Americans) in a single hit. Something like a Cromwell or Crusader are very cramped and need to use speed to hide, pot shot, and flank.

Once you learn how to take out a T-34 (best thing to do is always dissable that weak turret first), you will find that as long as you get the first shot and get it right, its an easy target.
