though, it's gotten a bit better once i've unlocked the other shell types for the 4.0 and 4.7 in my lineup right now.
i still get ridiculously oneshot, though, but i suspect this has to do with the damage model not accounting for the actual densities of the various materials a projectile is passing through. the one that still sticks in my craw was catching a hit to the sideskirt covering my sprocket, the round passing through the sprocket, through my transmission, through my hull, and into the turret. from almost a full kilometre away.
that said, and remembering that i have unlocked the good ammo, i DID get a pretty sweet kill on the move last night.
Of course as someone already pointed out 4.7 is a bit hard BR for USA, but that is just how the game is. Every nation has some weaker BRs and some stronger ones.
in high tiers you get meh vehicles like mbt 70 and m3 bradley which have nice big weakspots among other things like no fire on the move ability like what bmp2 has.
US only excels in 9.0+ when they get xm-1. m901, LAV-AD, and XM8 if you have it. these are just my 2 cents.
