Soviet MiG-15 SL Cost?

Is there a particular reason as to why the MiG-15 (and bis varient as well) cost so much more than the German varient in terms of purchase and repair cost? Sure, this will be my first MiG-15, but 1.3 million SL JUST to buy it?

Is this shenanigans or done intentionally for some reason, because 1.3 miliion SL could take a while to grind. I have also noticed that the costs for the first F-86 also follows a similar cost as the first MiG-15.

(for information, the German Mig-15 bis is 990k SL buy cost/10,590 repair cost [280k crew training cost] while the Soviet MiG-15 bis is 1.75 million SL buying cost/13,700 repair cost [500k crew training cost]. The base Soviet MiG-15 costs 1.33 million SL/9960 repair cost [380k crew training cost].)

Is because lot of german players have cried more than USSR ones and so they got it lowered And most of them keep crying

I was looking for a bit more of an "official" answer, but who knows it could be the case.

Anyway, Gaijin never bothered to change the original pricing. The Mig-17 is cheaper to buy than the Mig-15bis.


Could very well be for Gaijin apologizing for Germany players back in 2014 for only having the Me-163 and the Me 262 A-1a as its top end jets.

Even Japan only had the Ki-200 :P

repair cost is actually determined by popularity of the vehicle, the more players using the vehicle the higher the cost to mitigate overuse, i know this because i have talked to a Moderator who is in my clan, (he even had the MOD tag) so german players not using the mig-15 is why it's cheaper, this is also why japanese planes have high costs, why tanks like the carvevon have high costs, and why many vehicles seem to have abusive repair costs.

You think you have it bad? I had to fork out over two and half million lions to buy and crew the Kyokko, making it the most expensive aircraft in the game. Granted the grind was shorter, so that's probably why it has such a high price.

That can't be right, because the J2M3 has an insane repair cost and I rarely see people flying it, at-least in RB.

Probably because of the insane repair cost :P

It was abused a LOT when the Raidens came out. They were faster than the Americans at that tier and still turned better.

Then surely if what Codiak said is true, the repair cost should go down because nobody flies it. Repair cost shouldn't be a way to balance aircraft, if a plane is outperforming others it should have it's BR looked at, rather than having it's repair cost sent skyrocketing to a point where just flying it is losing money.

Thats pretty much why.

Another example is the Ki-84 Ko and you compare its repair cost with the Otsu and Hei variant. You can tell at a glimpse its doing too good against its opponents.

On top of that another 1M+ to get expert crew, and probably another million or so to get the upgrades. If you can barely afford a plane it means that actually you can't afford it.... yet.

Hence it is a good idea not to rush down the tech tree but actually play your planes.

I play my planes and tanks quite a bit, sure I do beeline for things, but I play tons of matches and get SL to counter that. The main issue was when they reduced the RP costs for jets that I was researching so I had to quickly scramble to get the RP and SL required (for about 4 jets) so I am pretty low on that.
