Is ASU-85 worth it?
Im half way of finishing researching it. It has BR of 6.7, HEATFS rounds that pen- 300mm of armor, and has decent armor (75mm) (compared to ASU-57) But is 690,000 SL and extra 190,000 SL crew training. should i get it or get IS-2 Mod. 1944?

You should get the ASU-85 that way when you get uptiered to fight tier V tanks you can shoot and actually pen them with the HEATFS.

Yeah, 300mm pen is very useful in tier V fights, with that , I don't have to fear the maus!

I actually take the ASU-85 over my T-54 model 1951 a lot. The HEATFS is very good for the gun, the BR is great, quite ballanced due to the terrible armor, and it stands a chance sniping in 7.7 matches (not to mention it does have the highest HEATFS muzzle velocity for the Soviets, but only by 50m/s) and the stock rounds are still great if needed. Personally, I would say go for it.

Not the pen thats decent, but the muzzle velocity of 1040m/s (oh, and I was wrong about the HEATFS, only 25m/s faster). But either way, still the best 85mm gun and is more then able to hold up against anything in its BR range so long as you use cover and have decent aim.
