War Thunder has fully modeled tank interiors.
Did my click bait title get you? Good, cause I'm actually not really lying.

(This interior is the Panzer 3 M btw, and is mostly accurate)

By doing some glitching and looking around, I found that some tanks in war thunder have fully modeled interiors (from the optics in the commanders cupola to the driver's brakes). I can't provide an adequate explanation for them yet, but what I can say is that they seem to only be for certain lines of tanks. Ie: The Panzer 4s and Tigers have interiors, but the T-34s have none to speak of. My first assumption was that this was modeled in for tanks that have their turrets blown off, but tanks like the T-28 and T-34 which clearly can have their turrets blown off have nothing to speak of. My second thought was that it was only for tanks with a turret basket, but the Kv2 ZIS-6 has an interior, even with the side view optics modeled in. So now I have no idea what the rhyme and reasoning is, but all I can say for sure is that casemate tank destroyers don't have any that I could find. And one last thing, tanks that clearly have an interior (can see the seats and gun breech when the rear hatch is blown off of the Su-100Y), sometimes have none to speak of. I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you, but I thought this was interesting. If you have any explanations, I would be glad to supply more screen caps and findings. I still have yet to check out all of the tanks I have.

*DISCLAIMER* I was not the first to know of this, I found a video of some folks messing around with the early vr addition: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7uwGtY9Ycw

This was my initial thought as well, but I'll give an example. You know how the Su-100Y has a massive hatch on the back of the superstructure? When the tank is blown up, you can usually see some of the interior through it, however this is nothing visible when I tried looking around in it. I'll post some more picks and examples.

Also there are front ends modeled I tot the tanks. They're in all the tanks I listed plus all the open topped vehicles (with crew members included). It was a pain to get there with the rift, (lack of room scale) but I'll try to post some pics soon.

And one last thing, I found that tanks that have their hatches blown open tend to have more detail. I.e: the hatches for the gunner and loader in the Panzer 4s have all of their locking mechanisms modeled, and I presume this is because you can see the open hatches once ammo racked.

Germian bias? Conspiracy? ?!

Or maybe they just took the existing interiors for open top tanks and put them in the closed ones, who knows

Don't the hatches on the T34s blow open when the tank is destroyed too?

that's the case for most tanks, not just the t34

Here are some more screenshots:

As you can see, the Kv2 Zis-6 has an interior, but this one has much less; I.e, no seats for the turret crew. However, the gun breech is still modeled in, and there are some periscopes visible on the side ( not in the screenschot).

And here is the Tiger 1. This is one of the better ones, having all of the hatch locks modeled, and having the turret hydraulics in as well. I wasn't able to get a good shot of the front section however. I will check the British tanks later tonight.

I know, but OP said the T34s didn't have an interior and then said that tanks with open hatches tend to have interiors, lol.

Interiors are semi done (especially for larger tanks with big hatches) as when destroyed, sometimes the hatches will be blown open so they model some of the interior that you can see. Also for when a turret flys off. That is why it is all blac/grey as when you see it, the tank is often burning up (so it is coloured and textured like it has been on fire for a while). Other reasons are for the x-ray view. They usually model the x-ray view around the breech so they will model that (like the Maus, you will never see the 128mm gun, but it is modeled). They and look with newer tanks as the detail on them is much better.

Here are 2 that I recorded. Also some British tanks do have interiors, and the turret basket is very noticeable, which most likely means these are the destroyed models.

Because of this, don't expect to drive like in RO2

I rip models from the game for (PERSONAL, NOT DISTRIBUTED) use for making GMod addons and VRChat avatars and found this out pretty quickly. It really is great, especially with a 4k userskin that includes interior textures.
