How do I get the aircraft controls to make W = throtle

Before without having to do anything but switch to a control mode, w = throttle up
If I go to any controls mode, I get that gigantic circle that stops where my mouse can go

All I recall was that A D = rudder
and that control and shift changed the elevators I think

Also when I fly and go into steam overlay view, my thrust hits 0 instantly where as this never happened before.

Now for some reason shift = throttle up
and WASD control the direction the plane

Bump, do I have to go redo everything manually or is there a preset?

the white circle around your plane indicates that you've switched to simplified (or realistic etc) controls... to get back to the 'normal' mouse control you need to switch to 'mouse aim' at the top of the controls options window.

if your controls are still not the way they used to be you may have to run the controls setup wizard again. (there's a button on the lower left side of the controls window... it will first ask you if you want to setup the plane or the tank controls and then bring up a drop down menu where you can select mouse+keyboard - there are 5 different m+k presets which you can choose)
