Early German Jets

What jets for Germany should i research first:
Me-163
He-162
Ho-229
Me-262 (with 50mm)
Ar-234

The me-163 is very fun to fly when you get used to it, however; will put you into high tier match making. Ho-299 is a ground strike aircraft with good mm, but can be also be used a an effective fighter. He-162 would definatly be the jet for a beginner and allows for a not too grindy top tier jet(mig-15bis).

As the first german jet to research i would agree on the ho-229. Tho me-163 or he-162 (cant remember the exact name on that little plane with a ski instead of a front wheel) is fun, it runs dry within a second and takes a year to reload. I've found the bomber line most exiting, maybe the first of that lines jet can't shoot. But in some ways stil great, its speed and the need to slip through holes in enemy lines to reach target.

I have both Ho 229 and Me-262 A-1/U4 and I regret getting em. The Me-262 A-1/U4 can be really fun to play but you are basically cripled if there ain't bombers. The Ho 229 looks unique and it's also fun to play but it's simply bad, a huge wooden flying wing armed with -now- nerfed 30mms.

Go for Me 163 & He 162, those planes stand a good chance and seem to be good fighters, plus they let you advance to better jets.

The Ar 234 is really fun to play in arcade, by far one of the fastest bombers in 6.3 BR and there's an even better version of it down the line.

In conclusion: Don't go for the Ho 229 and Me 262 A-1/U4, they ain't that good and it's a dead line.

My advice is to go for the ones you like the most. I personally went oh f**k I can get one of the Me262's and am so happy - even though its got pretty crapoy guns - months later and still just happy I have it.

The Ho229 and 50mm Me262 are not very noob friendly. Ho229 has bad acceleration,roll rate, and high recoild guns, its more for ground attack roles. 262, has powerful cannon that can do lots of damage to bombers, buts it hard to fight fighters in them.

Me163 has excellent stats, it has insane acceleration and rate of climb. the downsides is that it only has 6 min of fuel, low ammo cap, and faces sabres and mig15s all day long. Hard to master despite impressive stats. You have fly in it at reduced throttle to conserve fuel and only go 100% when engaging enemy, its huge acceleration helps mitigate that when you need to go fast quickly.
He162 seems to be the more balanced and newbie friendly for jet beginners. its stats are all around decent for its tier at just 6.7. Although it has low ammo cap, you can make up for it if you use it right.

The first Ar 234 lacks offensive armament, buts its got good top speed and has good climbrate for a bomber. If you are a bomber player and like bombers more than fighters, go for it, but you aint gonna do alot of damage in it as its bomb load is not impressive. plus you wont expect to be shooting down planes in it.

overall, go He162, plus, the biggest upside is, the very next jet after it is the MiG15bis! Lets you get a 9.0 jet very quickly. The German sabre has a much more longer grind, you have to grind 4 jets to get to it while the mig you just need one!

the Ho. 229 is the best starter German jet, plenty of ammo with an insane turn-rate and ability to kill heavy tanks with HVAP ammo is amazing. Just takes a while to get used to, but I would argue this over the Narwhal (which is fun, but very situational) and the 163 which is a bad "starter" jet because it is at 8.0 and not indicitive of other 8.0 jets.

The Ho-229 is the best fighter superiority low-teir jet in the game imo. Insane turn rate, 2 30mm MK 103s and a nice top speed for its BR, able to out run everything except for the American jets. This is me talking from a RB perspective though.

Feels a lot weaker now though with the newly nerfed 30mms if the enemy plays there energy wisely there isnt that much you can do against them since you will always be outgunned now. Dont get me wrong it performs well versus oponents who don't keep track of there energy which is the majority of them but if you ever are versus someone who does its not pretty.

Pfff outgunned? I consistently destroy planes with a quick burst. Whats so bad about it?

Go for the he 162 as it leads to the mig 15 bis. I have the ho 229 and me 163 and am underwelmed with both of them. They are fun , but not as effective as other planes in their br.

So should i grind the planes in order of He-162 -> Mig-15bis -> Me-163 -> 262's -> Cl-13?

Yep, unless you want bombers that is the way to go.
