How to run in VR
Hey all,

I booted the game up with my Vive and I dont seem to see anything but a big screen with a image of the launcher on it. Even in the main menu I see nothing but the launcher in like a movie theater.

Any help with running this in VR would be appreiated!

Right click on game properties and uncheck the theatre mode. Turn on VR. When you launch the game on one of the options menus, where you set graphics, there is an Oculus rift checkbox. It is there, but not obvious. Just hunt around and you will find it. It's near the bottom of the graphics options.

The game does work in VR. It's a bit crazy, but fun. The first person perspective when flying planes is great, but there appear to be some odd bugs such as your plane always crashing for no reason. Not sure what that's about. Either way, worth it just to give it a try.

Thank you so much for the reply. I followed your steps but don't see any Oculus checkboxes in graphcis. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Your going into the game to get to the graphics part. Dont load into the game, when the game comes up with the patching/updating area thats when u go to the graphics settings, the oculus thingo is in there

You can launch it HTC Vive like this (trust me.. it's legit and it's awesome):
1. right click war thunder in steam library and select properties
2. You'll see a checkbox that says something to the effect of "launch in steam vr theatre mode".. uncheck this checkbox.
3. launch the game, then on the launch screen, before hitting play, click the little gears icon at the top (options)... click on the Oculus checkbox (i'm sure they'll change the wording on this soon, because it's Vive also).
Boom.. VR War Thunder
^ Thanks man! :)

Definitely definitely NOT working. Oculus button definitely not present. There is a VR mode button. That does not launch the game in VR. pressing play will launch steam vr. But inside the headset there is no WarThunder
