ATGM guidence systems
What is the difference between an atgm semi automatic aiming and hand aiming?

P.S. the only experiance i have with ATGM is in the test range with the Strv and using the mouse to guide missiles

Strv and raketenjagdpanzer 2 have WASD guided missiles, other atgm carriers have mouse guided missiles which are easier to aim and dont force you to stop while your missile is in the air.

Semi auto = point and click

Hand aiming = tank immobile as long missile is active and tank control are steering the missile

In Arcade battle all atgm are mouse guided

Semi-automatic are a second generation of guidence. For example: The M551 uses an infared sight and the IT-1 uses radio commands to guide the missile. Older first generation like the Raketenjagdpanzer 2 and Strv use older missiles that were wire guided, requiring the operator to use a joystick to guide the missile and was generally less accurate (in WT, this is represented by moving the missile with the WASD keys or whatever you have your tank movement controlls set to).

This only applies to RB and SB. If you play Arcade battles, all ATGM's can be aimed with the mouse. Test drive the Strv in Realistic or Simulator battle and you will quickly see the difference.
